The 40-Day Challenge : Day 14

“Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, ‘Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.’” (Luke 1:39-44)

Mary took an attitude when the angel spoke to her. Do you remember that?

When you pray and God gives you a direction, and then you say, ‘Here I am,’ you’re showing that you are sincere.

Mary was pregnant and her life was in danger, for she conceived without being married; however, when faced with a situation without precedents, she immediately accepted and was willing to do according to what was said to her.

When we are willing to obey and we live by an intelligent faith, we do not wait for things to happen  we take action.

A pregnant woman living in an inhospitable region surrounded by mountains…

We women usually complain when we are taken by surprise.
But not Mary!

She did exactly as she’d told the angel when she left.

In the same way, you should be independent. Do not depend on your mother, father, or husband.

“… the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.”

The presence of God shakes us. This is why, sometimes you feel agitated by what is being revealed to you, especially during the 40-Day Challenge.

The messages that I have been writing are not a philosophy or religion. First, I had to live them out; otherwise, they would not give you life. I am giving you what I have received myself.

“Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!”

Note that Elizabeth was also visited by the angel, even before Mary; she was pregnant with a baby who would become a man of God and prepare the way for the Lord Jesus.

Women usually like to compare themselves with one another.

Elizabeth could have compared herself to Mary and feel inferior, as Mary was going to give birth to the Lord Jesus and she would give birth to the one would just prepare the way for Him…

But when a person is filled with the Holy Spirit, he or she praises, exalts God. They do not consider themselves inferior or superior to others.

Filled with the Holy Spirit, she exulted, saying, “Blessed are you…”

When a person is jealous, he or she starts making comparisons. They complain about what they do not have and forget to value what they have. Their eyes are evil and they will certainly not be filled with the Holy Spirit.

When you compare yourself to someone else, you are feeding your feelings.

Why don’t feed the truth, face your reality and wrestle with God for what you want?

“But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?”

Elizabeth did not think she deserved to be visited by the mother of her Lord. Mary had not yet told her what happened, but the Holy Spirit had revealed it to Elizabeth!

God speaks to you too, and He says words that I don’t, because I am limited. It’s the Holy Spirit who convinces you. I do not have this power, but He does!

What role does God play in your life? Is He some sort of ornament, or is He part of your life?

Every time you confess your weaknesses to God, He gives you an amazing strength. I am not fighting to be perfect, but to be perfected by Him. I don’t expect you to be perfect, but I expect you to depend on God every day. I want you to find in Him your Best Friend.

The aim of the 40-Day Challenge is to make you aware that you cannot depend on people, but only on God; to make you understand that the Word of God is not a religion, but it’s alive, it’s real, and it brings into existence what does not exist.

And I know this is what you want… This is why we are here!

If you bring God into your life, you will get the results you want.

“… as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.”

You too will jump for joy. Do you want to know when?

When you allow God to reveal His will to you. And it’s not temporary joy, which depends on circumstances. You will have joy inside of you — an assurance.

You’re so precious that God gave His best for you — His Son.

No matter how many mistakes you made in the past, everything will be made anew from the moment you assume your faith in Him!

  1. It is true that none of us here on earth is perfect. But God made us in His likeness. That is why, Christians are lead to perfection just like the Bible say.. “.. you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. ” -Matthew 5:48.

We are not perfect, but we must not be satisfied for what we are JUST now. We are lead to perfection and we must always walk on the path of perfection cos that is what our God told us to do.

Thank you for the message Mrs Viviane. God bless you and your family:)

  2. Thank you Mrs Vivi for the posts

When we truly trust God and live His Word, we adapt His nature and we dont look around comparing ourselves to other, but instead, we look up to Him and fight to be like Him. Our total dependence on Him shows what He means to us.

  6. Honestly, though as humans we don’t deserve , the Lord gives us what He knows is best according to obedience. I have learnt not to react according to my feelings and circumstances. I have also decided to value each day that God gives by depending on Him and though it may sound so simple – its a battle but there will be a winner.
