Mary’s Testimony

” Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil. “(John 12: 3).
Mary’s attitude was registered as a testimony to all of us, of what it means to be for God!
Everything she did cannot compare to what the Lord Jesus had done for her and even if in the eyes of many the scent was too valuable to pour on the feet of the Lord Jesus. She did it because she knew nothing compared to the benefits of His presence!
And how many have this thought? That they are too young to surrender their life and there are plenty to do and enjoy before putting their life at the Savior’s feet!
She realised that what she had was “nothing” compared to the greatness of the Savior of her soul!
She didn’t ask anyone what to do!
She took an attitude!
She went by her own faith!
She loved Him more than her own life!
She did not worry about the criticism and what they would think about her!
She sacrificed; she was thirsty and she loved Him above all!
The sacrifice that is made to be at Jesus’ feet is spread as a delicate and pleasant aroma, that everyone around you notices it!

Mary didn’t care about what the criticism, she did her sacrifice at the Lord Jesus’ feet. She wasn’t worried about anything, she loved Him more than her own self and she went by her own faith. That’s how we have to be, we have to be the one to take action and go by our faith!

Indeed, good to notice that she didn’t asked anyone what to do, she used her own faith and sacrificed. Everyone thought it was foolish, but she knew what’s more important.

Truly, the story of Mary is valid testimony that nothing compares to the presence of God in our lives. And we are simply nothing without Him either! What really interests in this act of Mary is that she poured the oil on the Lord’s feet without saying a single word, she knew what she was doing, because she was driven by a inner desire of gratitude that no one else could see, it was just between her and her Master!
Thank you ma’am for such insight!

We have to acknowledge every day how important it is to place our lives at the feet of the Lord Jesus. I see nothing more important than that. Who or what in life could give me eternal life. There is nothing more precious than to spend eternity with my saviour.
