Beware of the chameleon!

I was thinking about the ease we have in adapting to the environment we live in and the people we live with! It’s very common to see people make the same mistakes of others, close to them, and have the same attitudes. It all depends on the environment in which you live in!
If you want to please God, you have to pay attention to see if you’re not changing your behavior according to the environment and the people.
One example of that is that at home you give a bad testimony to the family while at church you show holiness, you’re a good girl, obedient with others and authorities; at school, you’re just like your classmates, and at work you have the same attitudes and wrong behavior as your coworkers, etc. That is, you’re not giving a testimony of the faith you say you have!
We cannot be like the chameleon that becomes the same color with the environment that he’s in!
We shouldn’t camouflage the true identity! If you have the identity of faith, assume it wherever you are, be different, stand out from others, don’t be like someone else just to be accepted, because one of the virtues that is much admired in a person, it’s when she is herself in all places, regardless of who she is.
The truth will always prevail and as hard as you try to hide, there will come a time when it’ll become visible to everyone!
God hates hypocrisy, and loves the sincere!
Assume your faith, and may your attitudes show the faith that you say you have everywhere!
Forgive, love, be sincere, genuine, have good eyes, be faithful, humble, and the reward will come, not from men, but from God!
“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.”
(Rom. 12: 9)

I think it’s so easy for someone to become a product of their environment specially if your amongst
A crowd for a long time. But it’s about not Exchanging your faith or your authenticity for their approval. Who we truly are We should embrace and ask God to give us strength not to conform.

Such a great encouragement! It’s a a battle that have to be won every single day, but if we really want it God gives us strength to fight our own flesh, to show His shine upon us the difference that will change lives around us!

This is so true, there’s no such thing as trying to fit in with the crowd because it’s as if you don’t have an identity that is stable.

This message is so true, as children of God our goal isn’t to be like everyone but to stand out from the crowd and to be a great testimony and example to them. I’ve learnt for myself that being myself and accepting my faults before God and working to change them is far more important than pretending to please others or even show face.

Thanks for sharing. This topic has been circulating a lot recently which tells me we all have to constantly be checking ourselves at home, work, school or church. We cannot be two people living in one body so we need to assume who we are irrespective of our environment or background. We should be the open bible so people can read from it.
