Assistant, what are the works of Faith

Attending a meeting where they spoke of the Faith without works, I thought to myself, “This is a very serious subject and it’ll be an excellent post for the assistants.” And here I am writing to you on this subject, so you can open your spiritual eyes in relation to the Work of God.

The truth is that when we talk about Works, what comes to mind for many is that they are linked to miracles, attending, evangelization, casting out demons, that deep down are very important and should be motivated. However, if they were carried out without the actual works, which God requires of each of us—they are worth nothing!

But after all, what Works are the ones that God expects of us?

Notice what is written:

” You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? “(James 2: 20,21)?

Now bear with me: What miracles; what demons were cast out; what evangelization did Abraham do?!

He made the greatest of all miracles, which was to live a life of Obedience, Sacrifice, Surrendering and of Word. That is why he is considered the Father of our Faith! These are the works that truly please God!

Now I ask: Have you truly and in fact practiced these works, or are they just in your consciousness?

I await your comment.

  1. Thanks for this. It is something to constantly remind me to check if I am doing the work of God or my own work. This is food for thought.

  2. Over the past 4 months I have realised that casting out demons and looking for miracles is not the work of GOD and it was painful, I felt scared and realised that the work of GOD is much more than that and that I was justifying myself in my conscience and this had to change.
I was listening one of Bishops services in Solomon’s temple books and it spoke about the very same topic you mentioned here this made me turn every thing around the way I read the bible the way I think the way I behave I have changed everything Obedience,Faithfulness, and Sacrifice are what he requires. thank you

  4. Thank you for your post.
What you wrote is very true. Abraham is a perfect example for us when it comes to faith… Despite not having performed any miracles, he taught us that obedience goes beyond all. And it is through obedience that we are also blessed, just like how he was.

  6. This have literally opened my eyes, the father of faith did not just presented the physical side, but his trust to God and kept his words. What I get from the message is that: Sacrifice start inside of me, once I start to live that sacrifice inside, once I make that honest decision to sacrifice, then straight away it will transmit outside. I need to be strong minded and that can happen if I am in spirit.
