Assistant, what are the works of Faith

Attending a meeting where they spoke of the Faith without works, I thought to myself, “This is a very serious subject and it’ll be an excellent post for the assistants.” And here I am writing to you on this subject, so you can open your spiritual eyes in relation to the Work of God.
The truth is that when we talk about Works, what comes to mind for many is that they are linked to miracles, attending, evangelization, casting out demons, that deep down are very important and should be motivated. However, if they were carried out without the actual works, which God requires of each of us—they are worth nothing!
But after all, what Works are the ones that God expects of us?
Notice what is written:
” You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? “(James 2: 20,21)?
Now bear with me: What miracles; what demons were cast out; what evangelization did Abraham do?!
He made the greatest of all miracles, which was to live a life of Obedience, Sacrifice, Surrendering and of Word. That is why he is considered the Father of our Faith! These are the works that truly please God!
Now I ask: Have you truly and in fact practiced these works, or are they just in your consciousness?

The work of God, when is ask it is exactly what you said Miss that’s what comes to their mind. They are right but they forget that without faith nothing can be done whether it is physically or spiritually. The work of God does not only means to do these things in Church but wherever we go such as at home, school and at work Etc… Most important work of God is to sacrifice not every month or week but daily.

In order to have a faith that makes an impact and difference, I need to follow these three behaviours such as Obedience, Sacrifice, Surrendering and of the Word. I may not know everything but these three qualities will help me have a blessed life, and see the power of God, just like Abraham saw.

This is so important I cannot lose focus and think that I am pleased God just by evangelising, cleaning the church etc. I have to strive above all to be obedient in everything as Abraham was, as you rightly said he didn’t perform not even one miracle its his obedience to the voice of God and his faithfulness that made him to stand out from the crowd and therefore pleased God. Its not what I do but most of all who I am before God. Thank you for sharing this message.

The story of Abraham is so amazing, how through on act it revolutionised everything. I cant lie but sometimes I feel like you need to do everything and that’s the mistake as if we focus on the core which is to obey God, serving Him will be much more easier because we are living what we are giving to the souls in the Work of God.

Thank you so much for this post. I have been meditating on something in relation to this topic, concerning the Work of God as well. (Inspired by a monthly offering), then a voice constantly speaks louder in my mind of me being obedient, living a sacrificial life and not just evangelizing or mentoring people!! Mrs Lu I could tell you so much about my experience this month but the most important things are the ones included in your post.
