Youth : There is only one thing you need to receive the Holy Spirit!

This Fast of Daniel has been really wonderful. How many young people began this Fast and have received the Holy Spirit? Thousands! But perhaps, it hasn’t happened to you yet.

Maybe you started the Fast willing to do anything you fasted, prayed, went to the church, read the Bible, meditated, and it seems like there is nothing else to do, except just wait … 🙁
Why has God (who is the most inter) not poured His Spirit on these people? Supposedly, when we give our whole life to Him, He will give His all to us that is a promise!!

There was a young man who asked this question to Jesus. He was a young man, who meditated on the Bible, did nothing wrong, went to the Church, etc. However, there was something inside him that told him something was missing, he knew something was very wrong. He had doubts as to whether he really would be saved. And this young man asked Jesus: “What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” Jesus answered, “…Keep the commandments.”

If this were today Jesus would say, you know what you have to do: do not steal, do not lie, be submissive to your parents, don’t watch pornography, don’t gossip, don’t get distracted with things that don’t add to your life… Just like nowadays, the young man replied, “All these things I have kept from my youth.”

Jesus then revealed: ““If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

Now I ask: Where is it written in the Bible that in ordered to be saved you have to sell everything you posses and give it to the poor?
No where!!

Jesus response was ONLY FOR HIM. He asked that young man for something that was crucial to him. Maybe to someone else it was not, but for him it was everything! And the proof was that this request moved him in such a way that he didn’t dare to give it. He simply left, sad for not having received what he wanted.

The same happens today in order to receive the Holy Spirit. There are things we know we should do. These are things that are even taught to us in the Church, but God always has something that he reveals EXCLUSIVELY to each person.

Perhaps you have not received the Holy Spirit yet and you are frustrated because you have fasted, prayed, read the Bible, done things you’ve never done before in your life… But… One thing you lack! Something God has asked of you but has been difficult for you to give up. You have used the excuse that it’s not written anywhere in the Bible.

It could be for example, a career that God has said wasn’t for you, or maybe a boyfriend or girlfriend that God has already revealed that it’s not the right time, or a friendship that God has shown you is not a good influence… I do not know!!

I am sure of one thing, if you really have the courage to give your whole life to God and ask Him what you are lacking, He will answer you at that very moment!

If you are not willing to give up what God is asking of you, like the rich young man, then know that this is why you still have not received the Holy Spirit… Because you haven’t surrendered your WHOOOOLE life to God.
