Why do you ask me for that?

Sometimes these thoughts come to mind, “My God, why can’t I have that; or why can’t I date him; why do I have to do it a certain way when in reality I wanted to do it my way; why does it seem so difficult to please You?”
Notice how these words are beautiful… what God tells you:
” For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
(Isaiah 55: 8-9)
God does not think like we think, He does not see as we see. Did you ever stop to imagine the distance between heaven and earth? It is infinite, and so are the differences of our thoughts to God’s thoughts! That’s why when God asks you for something, think that His thoughts are better than yours and He wants the best for you! That way it will be much easier to obey Him and surrender what He asks you for, whether is a feeling, a passion, your will, a material belonging, etc.
Remember:
We must obey! Obedience to Him generates life in abundance—success in all aspects!

I have these questions all the time. My God why this Why that and the list goes on and to be honest most of the time I have wanted to do things my way hence why there has been many times I have made the wrong decision. This post is making me realise that it really is not about me but about God. He knows why he asked for that thing I need to trust him more.
