Why do you ask me for that?

Sometimes these thoughts come to mind, “My God, why can’t I have that; or why can’t I date him; why do I have to do it a certain way when in reality I wanted to do it my way; why does it seem so difficult to please You?”
Notice how these words are beautiful… what God tells you:
” For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
(Isaiah 55: 8-9)
God does not think like we think, He does not see as we see. Did you ever stop to imagine the distance between heaven and earth? It is infinite, and so are the differences of our thoughts to God’s thoughts! That’s why when God asks you for something, think that His thoughts are better than yours and He wants the best for you! That way it will be much easier to obey Him and surrender what He asks you for, whether is a feeling, a passion, your will, a material belonging, etc.
Remember:
We must obey! Obedience to Him generates life in abundance—success in all aspects!

Very true, it is so easy to want to live according to my own will but Gods plans and will is much better and will bring better results than what I imagine. Definitely got to keep obeying!

for a moment while reading I stopped and think about heaven and the earth. people have invented aircraft to fly high and higher but none have reached the heaven. The thoughts of God are beyond what I could imagine and he definitely knows what is best for me. for all of us

That is so true, most of the times i usually get frustrated because what i would want for that moment just like your introduction at the start says, i don’t get,will be so disappointed and hurt but then it clicks into my head after a while that God knows bests.
it is hard to accept at first but the holy spirit always there to comfort and correct me.
