What God expects of you in this Fast of Daniel?

That is the big question which we can’t in any way stop asking ourselves . Unfortunately, many are led by the same routine as always, and fall into the evil’s deceit that this fast is only for those who do not have the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

In a casual conversation with some assistants, they said it was no longer difficult for them to refrain from the media, watching TV, or accessing the internet. So, I took the opportunity to make them think, I told them that they shouldn’t do this fast just to do it. They must do their part to search deep for what God wants in their lives .

There is something that God wants of you, and never forget what I will tell you: God does not ask for something easy, He asks for what is difficult. Something that will cost you, that nobody knows, only you and God and only you can give!

I ask you, assistant, who has followed us every Thursday the same question: How are you doing this fast? Do you know what you are going to present to God? Have you asked Him what he really wants from you? Or are you haven’t yet surrendered?

Maybe you think you’ve already done everything, and the simple fact of doing the Fast of Daniel again is enough and you are doing your part. This is a negligent thought! More than those who do not have the Holy Spirit, we, servants, need to be constantly vigilant, cautious all the time in our relationship with God. Like those virgins that were cautious and took with them extra oil. When the time came they were not caught off guard.

Do you know what this extra oil means now a days? It means to be 100 % attentive. In order to keep a fire burning someone needs to keep an eye on it to make sure there is enough wood always.

Your behavior, actions, thoughts, and especially your intentions, show if you’re truly 100 % attentive.

If by chance you are doing this fast as always, without giving God something that costs you, you’re only following others, and imitating them. You’re not coming out of your own standard so others won’t criticize you, then , my friend , you’re being foolish. You’re only taking the lamp, but you’re forgetting to take the most important thing.

Enjoy this Fast to think, examine your life up until now, who you are, how you’ve done God’s work, if your life truly reflects God. If He has really been your witness, if your words have life and power. Please don’t fool yourself. Be transparent with yourself.

Was I clear enough? I would like to know your thoughts and experiences in this Fast.

A hug
