Here is a list of thermo genic foods:

Thermo genic foods are foods that heats up your body’s internal temperature, making your metabolism burn more calories, therefore contributing to weight loss.

However, it’s important to make it clear that only consuming these foods isn’t enough. It’s necessary to above all have an adequate nutrition and exercise.

Next, I will talk a bit about some foods that are considered thermo genic that you may include in your menu to give you a boost in the weight loss process.
There’s no recommended amount for the intake of these foods. Another important thing to note is that these foods should only be consumed if you have no medical restrictions.
Red pepper
Red pepper (cayenne pepper) has a substance called capsaicin that according to a recent study if consumed regularly (3g per day) can increase your metabolism by 20%. You can add it on salads and other dishes.
Green tea
Green tea has many health benefits including the prevention of some diseases. It also helps the intestinal tract to function properly and also accelerates the metabolism. Drink 1 cup five to ten minutes before meals.
Just like red peppers if consumed often it can increase your metabolism by 20%. You can chew a piece per day or drink in a tea or add it to juices. Ginger is also used for morning sickness.
Ice water
Drinking 8-10 glasses of iced water per day burns about 200 calories. Your body needs to raise its temperature every time you drink cold water therefore burning more energy.
Cinnamon improves your body’s immune system and it’s also a thermo genic food. You can add a pinch of cinnamon to coffee or fruit. How about a banana or apple warmed in the microwave with a pinch of sweetener and cinnamon, for example?

It’s important to clarify that excessive intake of these foods can be harmful. So it’s always important to consult a nutritionist who will prepare a personalized menu with the appropriate amount of thermo genic foods you can consume.
