Transparency – A virtue that very few posses
Transparency is a virtue where the person that possesses it doesn’t hide anything whether it’s to their advantage or disadvantage.
That person shows who they truly are, without exaggerating, be it for better or for worse.
Because they have this virtue they can come to know themselves better and therefore able to be more vigilant.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” (Mt 7:21-23)
The verses above refer to something very serious. It teaches us that we can’t say we know God because of the work we’ve done. The strongest words in this passage are: I NEVER KNEW YOU.
Those who serve the devil, for example, they too have works, perform “miracles” … But that does not mean they know God.
Many are deceived, thinking they know Him, because of their works. But God Himself says: I never knew you. And that is precisely why this is so serious.
Why does God say that?
Because the person doesn’t get to know Him!
When a person is not transparent they are actually feeding their pride, because they are hiding who they really are.
Many think that they will overcome it just by speaking to God, but they forget that in order for the Son of God’s sacrifice to be complete, He had to be naked in front of everyone! He is an example of someone who is completely transparent.
Dear readers, God is transparent! He let’s Himself be known to all. And for us to come to Him, we also must let ourselves be known.
If you are someone that prefers to stay in “your corner”, thinking that by hiding behind your work and doing everything “right” you will not be confronted … Know that you are a great candidate to hear God say: I never knew you!
How can you make yourself known?
First, you must know who you are by doing a self-analysis.
Think about all negative remarks people say about you, and use them as an opportunity to discover more things about yourself.
See what your current situation is and expose it before God. Seek Him for help. If you need to, ask someone who already overcame his or her will. That person will be able to truly help you!

Some people may think that being transparent and humble can destroy
their “image” but, in truth, it’s the opposite. Being transparent shows
sincerity, shows God’s character in a person, something which is not easy to find nowadays. It speaks louder than any thing the person does.

This message is very strong! Our works does not show that we know God or that God knows us. But we have to be transparent all the time with God (and others where possible). And I see that it is not good to be hiding ourselves from others or behind the work we do, but we have to be open and honest with ourselves.
