Jacob’s life – Day 12

Hello everyone we’re on Day 12 talking about Jacob’s life.

We are well aware that we need to sacrifice, but we must also pay attention to our behavior:

When we use our faith to really sacrifice to God we don’t show distress, but, rather, strength and definition.

If when we sacrifice to God we complain, show fatigue, and that we’re facing difficulties, then it’s a sign of weakness. In reality, we show that we are using an emotional faith. Faith without emotion is rational and defined, it doesn’t get desperate with small problems, and it won’t overcome us!

“May God Almighty bless you,
And make you fruitful and multiply you,
That you may be an assembly of peoples; And give you the blessing of Abraham,
To you and your descendants with you,
That you may inherit the land
In which you are a stranger,
Which God gave to Abraham.” (Gn.28: 3.4)

Day 12 – The blessing of “Abraham”

Isaac spoke with definition as to what God would do in Jacob’s life, and it’s the same way in our life!

God doesn’t want to give us something insignificant. He doesn’t just want us to be an example to our family, but He wants us to revolutionize this world through our lives. So that through our testimony a lot of people can be “touched” and obtain a transformation in their lives, because the blessing of Abraham exists in us.

And our descendants too, those who live with us or are taught by us, can also possess this blessing!

“… That you may inherit the land
In which you are a stranger,
Which God gave to Abraham.”

This blessing will let us have dominion over the “land” which are the difficulties and adversities that we face. Let’s take hold of this blessing and prevail over any and all feelings of frustration.

You might say: “It’s easy to say, but how about when we face difficult situations, we do something that doesn’t work out and we get frustrated?”
And I say: If I am sacrificing then I don’t get frustrated, I don’t complain, but instead I act with perseverance. Even if I make a mistake I go on and learn from it! This is the type of defined faith that makes the difference.

Wherever I go, I have to take hold of this blessing!
“Oh, so if I’m faced with a challenge, I have to overcome it? If I’m in a church I have to stand out? I have to stand out in the middle of family and friends who don’t profess the same faith I have? “Yes! You must dominate any feelings of confliction and convey credibility through your behavior in your day-to-day life.

I must do my part and to receive the blessing of “Abraham.” We don’t need others to grow, because this blessing comes from within and with this blessing we are able to multiply our “descendants”.

If we take hold of this blessing we will transmit it to others naturally.

Until tomorrow continuing with Jacob’s life.

  1. For me when I am reading more and more about faith. It’s like a decision, no need to complain about my ifs or buts just do.

  2. The ‘blessing’ will allow me to have dominion over the inner turmoil, the traumas, the emotions which I keep trying to be free from but sooner or later it comes back. It will allow me to put aside this emotional faith which has been tossing me up and down like the waves. With the blessing I must overcome..

  3. To dominate my feelings, I put a stop to the complaining and whining. If I make a mistake, I don’t stay there being so hard on myself. I move forward and learn how to avoid doing that again. I am learning that I need to ‘dominate’ my emotions otherwise they will dominate me!
