Jacob’s life – Day 11

Hello everyone, we are on the 11th Day talking about Jacob’s life.

“Then Isaac called Jacob and blessed him, and charged him, and said to him: “You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan. Arise, go to Padan Aram, to the house of Bethuel your mother’s father; and take yourself a wife from there of the daughters of Laban your mother’s brother.” (Gn.28: 1.2)

Isaac immediately did what was necessary. But why did he have this audacity and Rebecca, on the other hand, felt desperate by asking her child to escape? Those whose lives aren’t a sacrifice are always in constant doubt.

Rebekah was being a slave of her feelings, when a person has doubts he or she sees his or herself in debt.

Those, however, that surrenders their lives completely on the altar as a sacrifice don’t show insecurity or fear: “What if it doesn’t work? What if it doesn’t happen? What if I give everything to God and he doesn’t respond me?” If you’re having these types of doubts, then you’re not sacrificing completely.

When there is a true sacrifice you’re sure of the answer through your faith and belief, you’re not afraid of what will happen tomorrow, sacrifice makes you bold.

Rebecca carried a frustration inside of her and took it to her husband because she wasn’t living a sacrifice, nor paid attention to her actions because she lived by the circumstances.

When you live a faith with emotion it’s like this: You try to do the right thing, but you take actions based on your emotions, you become anxious, worried, scared, you act precipitated and you don’t sacrifices for what you supposedly believe in, and it’s evident!
When you believe you don’t just express it with words but by your actions. It’s no use saying that I love my husband, if I don’t give myself to him, If I’m not careful to become a better wife, to improve myself for him.

Evaluate yourself, right now, without using your emotions, have you been bold and complete before God? Or have you been dominated by fear? Are you waiting on someone to solve your problem or depending on others to sacrifice?

When you are solely dependent of your own faith you don’t depend on anyone else to sacrifice. God appeared to Jacob when he was alone.

When you recognize your situation before God and instead of running away you fight to change what needs to be changed, you will be sure that God will provide and you won’t live in fear.

Then, act now, face yourself so that in this Campaign of Israel you will not leave anything unresolved and you can have a new identity. So you can leave behind your insecurities, fears, traumas and anything that might still be lingering behind.

NOW IT”S YOUR TIME!

Face your problems and live by faith sacrificing everything for the sake of a new identity, new life, new heaven and earth.

When you sacrifice your problem is no longer yours but it becomes God’s problem.

It’s in your hands! Until tomorrow.

  1. Through reading this verse, God really showed me and I am afraid to write this but I am letting my fear an emorion take control. This is why Isaac was so successful, he let put aside all the things that wouldn’t make him an living sacrifice.
