How many times have I said things to my son and immediately I remembered my mother…

I felt I was repeating the same things I heard throughout my whole childhood, and then I thought “these words marked me so strongly that they made me today, after so many years, repeat them even in the same tone of voice that she did.” And this not only happened once but several times, sometimes in a good and positive way, but sometimes in a bad way, that led me to ask myself, “why did I act like that?
And soon after, I asked for forgiveness from my son.

I fought against myself and asked for strength in a prayer to God in order for me to forget that unfortunate attitude. It took some time and it was so difficult to change that I had the following conclusion:

– We who are moms today, tend to repeat actions and words from our mothers, it’s like a natural cycle, it’s what we saw happening for years, we memorized it, we even thought it was right; but analyzing it…my mother at that time did not have a Christian life, she did not have the Holy Spirit to guide her and the only thing she knew was to also repeat what she had learned from her mother, that came from Japan, with a harsh and severe upbringing.

Whatever your mother did bad and that marked you, eliminate it and don’t do it with your child.

Our mind is like a mini computer that records and plays. That’s why my friend, we have to be double vigilant because now we are on the other side, we are the ones that influence and mark. We have the difficult task of representing the Kingdom of God in our homes and we must do this in the best possible way so that our children only have good seeds and do not need to fight to get rid of inherited bad attitudes. Let’s nip it in the bud!

Let’s start by analyzing our reactions and words, all that is negative and uncontrolled must be eliminated, if it’s needed, we must be liberated, and we must be willing to educate our children calmly and according to the word of God.

This way we will start a new era of daughters and future happy mommies without traumas—that are followers of good examples.

I am in this same faith!

Kisses and until the coming week.

  1. Thank you soo much, this post is written very clearly. A while back God showed me that in the same way I anaylise my own attitudes and ask myself why I react in a certain way, I should also do with my mum. My mum had always spoken to me about her past (i always wanted to know how her childhoood was) but I never really associated her up bringing to some of the things she use to say to me and her way of being. This post is very very helpful, its a wakeup call for me as a child.
