From Children to Parents : “Mom, do you pray for me?”

When I discovered the power of prayer, after many years of family suffering, I became free and independent in my faith.

One of the situations that marked me the most, after my conversion was when I learned the power of forgiveness and began to apply it in my life. The first thing I did was to look for and relearn how to love, and cherish the person who had made me suffer the most, in this case, my mother (. It was a process of inner reconstruction, essential in my christian walk.

But despite having learned with God, to seek Him, regardless of people or circumstances, the truth is that at the first opportunity I had, I included my mother in that quest, asking her so simply: “Mother, take my photograph to church and pray for me … “. Even though I already had an encounter with Him and the strength to help others, I recognized that the prayer of a mother could definitely, when based on a pure and rational faith, make miracles and extraordinary transformations!

But many mothers neglect this aspect, not standing firm in their vows and in their prayer resolutions or they even try to convince their children, in the strength of their own “arm” to change course and direction. They forget that only God has the power to transform a heart of “stone” in a flexible heart of “flesh”, willing to listen to His voice.

“Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God. “(Ez.11: 19,20)

For this reason and through the Godllywood Group, the Project Mothers in Prayer was formed, which the responsible in Portugal, Sandra Perpetual, will slightly explain to us about:

sandra  “The Project Mothers in Prayer came about in order to support all the women who are mothers and that in someway have lived difficult situations with their children.
Over time we have witnessed the suffering of many mothers, who have fought a hard battle for their children, because while small they were cared for and protected with all the love, but when they grew up they made their own choices and unfortunately many have suffered because of them.
A mother’s struggle is forever, but many of them, because they have fought alone and by the strength of their own arm, get frustrated when they do not see results and the thought of giving up begins to emerge.
This project gives aid to all the mothers and encourages them to fight for their children, regardless of the situation or condition, because with God as their ally the transformation will happen. ”

Today, many “mothers” that have joined, those that were reached in this journey of faith, also support us with their prayers so that our steps remain firm and steadfast to reach others … Thank you very much to all of you and stand firm in the faith of the revolt!

  1. Good morning
Once again God has answered my prayer. I was praying to God that there would be a book or something from the UCKG that would help mothers learn how to deal with situation that come up with their kids. I am a single mother of three kids and it can get very difficult. Now I can learn from this group how to teach my kids and what to do in the good and bad times. Especially with my 15 yr old daughter. Thank you soooo much I really needed this. Thank you God for answering my prayers.
