Do you know how to dress yourself?

We, women, want to dress well but often we don’t know how to or what suits us best. Isn’t that right?

In order for you to get a good start you must get this most important step right: Take your measurements to determine what your body type is:

Oval – Your waist, shoulders, back and chest are larger than your hips and thighs.
Rectangle – Shoulders, waist and hips are the same measurements.
Hourglass – bust and hips are the same size but have a thinner waistline.
Inverted Triangle – Your shoulders are wider than your hips and thighs.
Triangle – In this body type your hips are quite wide and the shoulders are narrow.

Size rule:
Use the your right size. If you wear larger sizes just to hide unwanted fat you will make the situation worse. The same goes for those who wear tight clothes- this will highlight precisely what it should not and it will even seem as though you gained a few pounds.

Right age:
What we wear at 15 will most likely not suit our body when we get to be 30. At that age we must use extra caution. Clothing with a good fit are better that way it won’t highlight certain “defects” like cellulite, big waists and belly fat. That’s when you have to use your common sense! If your 15 then you should not dress like a 30-year-old woman, enjoy your age!

The right time:
We have tried to fight it, but the truth is that it is impossible to create a look 5 minutes before leaving the house. It is no use trying! When you’re in a rush you get this big blank which makes you think you have nothing to wear.
So before you go to bed first check the weather forecast (I always do) for the next day. Then open your closet and let your creativity flow and make your outfit for the next day! You can’t imagine what a big difference it makes to put together an outfit with calm and a good research.

What are the basics?
Basic pieces are those that go with everything, never go out of style and can be worn both in winter and summer.

I’m tired of always dressing the same way, can I create my own style and be different?
You can, but be careful! You can’t always look to an actress or singer for inspiration. Follow the rules on this post and take a risk.

Your wardrobe should have the following percentages:
10% fast fashion – mullet skirts, clothes with studs, neon colored pieces, pieces with colors of the season. They are things that will come out of style quickly. Buy these items at a reasonable price and use them until you get tired of them. Then donate them.
40% accessories – They accent any basic pieces: scarves, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, flats with prints on them (leopard print for example), bags, etc.
50% classical pieces – It is worth spending a little more on these various items (neutrals): White shirt, straight leg black pants, a black blazer, a jean jacket, a pencil skirt in a neutral color, two cotton or knit dresses, jeans the basic black of course.

Ps.: The modern and creative way to create an outfit is to mix and match with almost everything and anything. Don’t try to make an outfit too correct with everything matching.
