Comparing and not listening

When we compare ourselves with other people, we don’t listen to anyone… but we take attitudes based on what our eyes see.

We don’t want to listen to sound advice; we become distant and, as a result, it’s more difficult for us to be helped.

It’s impossible to learn and evolve when we don’t listen or think.

It’s impossible to find success when we give in to our feelings.

Faith has nothing to do with what you see.

Faith is assurance. Comparisons bring up doubt and torment.

Why are you so stubborn? Why do you insist on keeping these ideas?

Why are more inclined to relying on your feelings than on reasoning?

When you compare yourself to someone else, you are not using common sense, but your emotions. Emotions are the most natural reaction of human beings, and the cause of so much havoc in the world. Thinking, on the other hand, requires a bit more work… but this is what increases a person’s worth and motivates them to break free from the illusions of this world.

Dear reader, examine your actions. Do not rush into thinking you are “nice” or righteous, but examine your attitudes.

See how you behave in front of your superiors or people you admire. Examine your behaviour.

A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel, to understand a proverb and an enigma, the words of the wise and their riddles. (Proverbs 1:5,6)

What do you understand by ‘an enigma’?

Your story… Think of your story as an enigma, which needs to be revealed before it can be heard and understood.
