Come out of your “land” and walk…

“The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. (Gn. 12: 1-2)
Maybe you don’t come out of your “land” or “home” literally, as in the case of Abraham. But often, what God asks you, is that you see beyond, to leave this area that you yourself created as a defense, accumulating, through the problems, all kinds of feelings that neutralize your faith.
Notice that it was important for Abraham to separate himself unconditionally, from all that prevented him from seeing beyond.
Often you as a mother, father or caregiver, can’t see the solution of your problem, precisely because you have lived according to the feelings that the problems bring. “But how?!” you ask … “If I live every day with my addicted son, with my daughter who is involved with bad company? In what way can I disconnect myself from my family’s problems if I have to encounter the same problems every day?! ”
Walking towards the Altar! This path can sometimes prove to be lonely, because it’s the result of a Unique faith, but it is the only way to achieve the impossible that which through your arm strength, so far, have failed to achieve.
Dear Parents, no one loves your children more than you, but more than loving them because you procreated them and want to see them succeed, you must love them to the point of sacrificing in favor of them! Our human capacity is limited, but allied with God, we become unbeatable!
Perhaps you’ve done it all:
* Raised;
* Educated;
* Sacrificed for the welfare;
* Gave them studies and a life of quality;
* Went with them to the doctor, treatments;
* You have been side by side at the worst times…
If indeed that brought you a desired response, it means that your efforts paid off.
Now, I tell you: If even with all the humanly possible sacrifice, you still didn’t get the answers you need; all your energy ran out and still haven’t found the solution—then your answer is on the Altar! And this requires that you leave the “land” where you are, to ally yourself with the ONLY ONE who has the power to transform your family members.
The first time I understood what it was to sacrifice to God, I also knew that first I had to separate myself from the trail of destruction that the devil left: the sadness, bitterness, the pain of abandonment … I remained at home, and with my family, but my faith on the Altar raised me to another “dimension”, which made me look beyond. And the more I sacrificed, the more “farther” I was from the problems, because I was no longer focused on them! God gave me the strength to see beyond, until one by one, they were solved.
Having our eyes fixed on the Altar, sacrificing in the physical, spiritual and material, level makes us leave the “territory” as we know it, to a new life, full of novelty and blessings beyond measure.
Tell us your experiences on the Altar in the family area, or what you want to achieve in this journey that has already begun towards the Altar.
Till next time. In faith!

Thank you Mrs Viviane for sharing with us, from this post I learned that those who are born of God are driven by their focus on the alter.

Very true
Everything I achieve today comes from the altar. I am not a mother yet but reading this post was very educating for me as the same principle should apply.

Thanks Miss Andreia, and excellent post! Sometimes we are so wrapped up in the problem that it clouds our vision of how to solve the problem. I found peace when I unwrapped myself from the problem, made God my focus, sacrificed my desires and laid everything at the feet of Jesus, like Mary.

I have an experience of the Altar towards my family where i wanted to see a transformation in my house, there is peace, love, unity and we live happily as a family even though most times we live in different areas but that is not an impediment at all. Everyday it just seems like we are together, thank God.
