Hello to all the cybernauts! It’s a pleasure to be here with you and here in this blog where we have the opportunity to be close together through this audio every Friday.

The theme of today: “the faith that waits”.

You can accompany me with the reading of the Scriptures in the book of Hebrew 11.9:

“By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents…”

Who was that? Abraham. Abraham lived his days, his life, in faith. He had obstacles, he had sentiments and committed errors, but what predominated in his life was faith! And that same faith, is not only about the faith to conquer, no! He already conquered; he had his child, Isaac. That is to say, Abraham, he lived his days with God. That is that faith that I want to talk about with you today.

When I live in faith, it is not only to conquer for my family, my financial life, and health, but it is towards my relationship with God. Yes, I will have gains but I don’t lose focus of my objective, because my greatest objective is not in my children or what I gain. It is just to wait for the city that God was like the architect and builder, like it says here in the verse:

“By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. (v.10) For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.”

But my question to you, my fellow cybernaut, is this:
-“You have lived day by day and what has predominated your life? Is it the concern for your financial life, your family, your job? Is your objective to be financially successful?… What dominates your thoughts?”

Well! Whatever is predominating your thoughts is what you have focused on as an objective. And from what I observe in the above verses, is that Abraham lived focused, waiting for that city in which God was the architect, in other words, his salvation.

No matter what difficulties or problems you have, you have to know to exercise your faith.

Faith is the certainty of things that are going to happen, so when you use your faith, the problem is resolved. But when you are easily distracted, influenced by the problem, then you stay focused on that. You get absent-minded and you don’t look at the city that God has prepared for you, which is your salvation.

And what is left to be desired? Your everyday life, relationship with God; you keep looking at an objective that is something passing. Your family? One day are they all going to die? Your job, your goods? They are going to pass…

One day we are all going to die, and what is going to happen? What did you prioritize? Did you go on a pilgrimage in this life prioritizing living only to conquer or are you prioritizing the city in which God has for you? – Fellow cybernaut, this is the question I ask you.

Faith is not only for conquests, financial prosperity, family or health. It is to maintain until the end ,“keeping an eye” on the city of gold that is prepared for us. And what do we while we wait for that city? Be vigilant, prepare yourself, maintain your lamp lit and wait for our Lord, our husband to arrive.

Did you know, when we get preoccupied with family, health, what ever it is, it won’t resolve a thing…

Perhaps you ask, “But, Viviane, how can i resolve this? I have economic problems, I can’t pay my bills; I have problems with my husband: we fight every day. I lose my peace; I have a son who is addicted! How can I manifest my faith when I’m living with all these problems?”

I want you to manifest your faith, the certainty of the things that are going to happen.

Speak to God, take your problem to God, exercise your faith that is inside you and then take that certainty and keep it with you. Because you have the certainty, even if you don’t see it at that exact moment, you have that certainty that no one can take away from you, and that is God’s answer to you.

“But Viviane, I don’t have that certainty because there comes along many fears and doubts. Question come and go like how are things going to be, how should they be?!”

Fellow cybernaut, it is because you get close to God already looking at the problem and not a His promise.

And that is the big difference.

Because when you look at the promise and you have that unshakeable certainty that God is going to answer, it is because you have that faith in God and there is no motive to doubt. You might even have doubts in certain minutes, or certain days, but never your whole life. No! Your faith in God demands His response as well. Not only an answer from God, but a certainty in you after you speak with Him.

An observation,”How are you praying?”

There most be a problem with your prayer… What problem? The problem is that you are speaking to God in an emotional state, sensitized by what you have been living and not having that certainty of reaching what He promised. Observe well at what you are doing…!!

Shh…Shhh….Shhhh…..Do not put the blame on God, no!
It is you and God. You have to give 50% of you, of your faith, and the other 50% is from God, but you have to do your part, not God.

Do you understand, my cybernaut friend?

Faith brings security, stability.

I have also lived with many afflictions like those you have read in my blog, but in the midst of that, I used my faith; I expressed everything I was living to God and I took an attitude of faith. I didn’t wait for God to make me feel something, because faith isn’t feeling, it’s certainty. To do what God has revealed to me and not stay crying and debilitating myself because of the problem. I have to walk, to move forward and resolve the situation! I cannot say frustrated, nor sad or hurt. No! I have to resolve and give to God what I need to give.

That is how you resolve a problem!!

It is not wallowing in emotion, the problem, but to grasp in your hands what God is reaching out to you. It’s giving, believing, having certainty, acting, and not giving in to your problems or your emotions! It is to react. It is using that faith that is inside of you…

And that is what Abraham did while going on the pilgrimage to the land God promised, in this life. And it is not for one day, but for years and forever. He lived in tents, in other words, not in a fixed place, but he was waiting for the city which God had prepared. He was on the lookout; he was getting ready, waiting and, consequently, when you wait you repair, put in order, and improve while you are in faith.

And that is what I want you to have, to prepare yourself for the city. All the problems that you are your living, that you are facing in this very life, resolve them and use your faith that is inside of you and stop whining or complaining, and looking back and live today.

Is it good that you see the challenge before you. Do you know why? So that you exercise your faith and not be an ‘old prophet’, talking about the past, to be humble, to be flexible, to challenge yourself and use you faith…That is what you need to do, my cybernaut friend, with this challenge.

A big hug and until next week!
