Assistants , is that convenient?!

“Hello, I have visited the blog and it’s very “good” I’ve learned a lot. I have a suggestion: I was raised as an Assistant not too long ago , and I have many doubts about certain things, such as: When to work as an Assistant, what color nail polish should I use? Should my nails be short or can I leave them long and have designs on them?
These are the doubts I have. I would like you to write an article about all this, because I’m sure that it will help many new Assistants. I thank you in advance!”

At the request of this Assistant it’s our pleasure to write about this in today’s article. I will give you practical advice that is also very important because deep down it reflects our Spiritual life.

To answer Mary’s question about what color nail polish she should wear, an Assistant should use the traditional colors or as discreet as possible. The truth is that you’ll never go wrong if you pick a light and discreet color, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear red or burgundy. According to experts in fashion and image consulting these colors portray seriousness and maturity . However, on the day of the Lord’s Supper you should use a light color, as a matter of hygiene.

An Assistant shouldn’t draw attention to herself, especially in an extravagant way. If your nails are painted with bright colors, decorated with sparkles or other things, and are very long it will be a complete contrast to your uniform and even to your Spiritual standard.

There is a posture to zeal, a certain way we must be, which should be fulfilled, so we can show credibility to others. This is not only a rule, but mostly common sense!

An Assistant is the image of God himself. She represents an authority, hence the need to convey seriousness. She constantly has contact with people, and talks to them about serious matters. People come to seek guidance and direction from her.
Now imagine if that Assistant has really long nails with a fluorescent nail polish on, with a holographic, 3D effect or different types of prints, etc. How can that Assistant convey respect and assurance? In fact, instead of that person being attentive to the Assistant’s words he or she will be distracted with all that color obstructing their view.

It is also important to say that it’s not presentable, even with a light color, to have chipped nail polish, always keep them completely painted. If you prefer keep your nails with just a clear nail polish or bare.

Again , remember that moderation in everything! And I’d like to take the opportunity to leave a reminder to those Assistants who like to use screaming colors, if they don’t have the sensitivity to realize that these colors are not convenient, then, you aren’t being vigilant or sensible.

A friendly advice: Whenever you have a doubt about what to use, think, investigate, ask God first, and then the authority that is responsible for you. Is it not written: ” May He lead us to all truth”?
I would like you to examine and see whether you have been lead by the current fashion or not.

You may say, ” But I don’t use those colors, this article isn’t for me. ” I’ll teach you something very important … Never discard the possibility of learning, even if you supposedly already know!

I would like to know your thoughts on today’s article. Write your comments or even your doubts, so we can understand your necessities.

A special hug!

  1. Thank you for sharing i really learnt a lot i agree that as assistants we need to wear discreetly because if we dont we draw attention to ourselves and may even cause other people in the church to fall e.g men who are visual creatures that if they see more attraction they get distracted and GOD is totally against people who cause others to fall in their faith.
