Assistant : What is your part?

In last week’s article we greatly emphasized the dependence of God and indeed, it is essential to our life so that we may be fully guided by Him.
When we do the Work of God we cannot do it with the strength of our own arms because if so, our work will be in vain. These are not my words, but it is written: ” Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it…”
However, it is important to make it clear that if we stand back with our arms crossed waiting for the right time to act, or lean on the idea that we are dependent on God and He will do everything, then our surrender will be sluggish and expressionless. We cannot forget that God only does His part when we do ours first!
Therefore, what is your part?
It is to play the field.
It is to go up to people even if they do not come to you.
It is not to wait only for the pastor to counsel the people for the first time.
It is to be your Pastor’s assistant when it comes to counseling the people.
It is to pay attention to each person that surrenders to God.
It is to observe the state of each person.
I will be very sincere with you: if there isn’t a fire burning inside of you, then it is because you are already living in a lukewarm state. Let’s face it, my companions of war, if you are the kind of assistant that doesn’t give your all for the people, then you are literally distant from God. Remember that the people represent God and that if you have no interest in saving the lives that are lost, then we can conclude that you are an assistant that only wears the uniform and holds the title.
You might say, which I’ve already heard people say, that these articles for the assistants are very strong: “Oh Luisa, these words do not edify me.” They do not edify you because deep, deep down what you want to hear is something that will keep you in your comfort zone. That is not what God wants for you, instead He wants the flame of the first love to be burning inside of you, with your thoughts on doing damage to the works of hell.
Let’s roll up our sleeves and use our intelligent Faith. What do you say? Will you be the kind of assistant that is going to do their part before God?

reading this message is very powerful, it open my understanding more to always ,that a true assistants is one that serve he/she dont waited on the pastor to say go /do , he/she listen to voice of God , they are pastors as well the do the working willing not sitting down and waiting for someone to tell them. they uses their intelligent faith and not emotional faith, they take care of the people and fight day and night for them.

Thank you Mrs Luisa. What is highlighted in my head is that, I must see God when I look at the people. When I serve them, I am serving God. How does one serve God, is a question that I am meditating upon and answer to myself.

As an assistant,I’ve learned that my part is not only to wear the uniform and hold the title of being an “assistant” who am I? Nothing but as simple servant of God, to serve God is to win souls to His Kingdom, my part as a servant is to do His will and obey Him, to serve in Spirit and Humility, Always!
