Assistant : The assistant and organizing time

Concerning the organization of our time, God showed me something so clear and simple:

What He wants is for our lives to be at His feet and in His dependency…

The concerns and anxieties that we allow us to have, consequences of what surrounds us, only demonstrate that our priorities are out-of-focus, as we talked about in the previous article. The secret of our success in regards to the discipline of our time is to live a life dedicated to God; is to care, and a lot, about our spiritual life.

And how do I take care of my spiritual life? When I meditate, I keep and practice the Word of God! And this, of course, requires resignation. Requires, before the many chores of everyday life, taking quality time to meditate and listen to the voice of God; make all the voices “hush” around us, just to see what God wants for our lives. And friends, this may not be an easy task, when we don’t really make it a priority because it’s necessary to use reasoning, intelligent Faith allied to a constant vigilance.

I can never forget an interview that Bishop Macedo gave, where they asked him how he could “manage” the whole universe of the Universal Church, to which he wisely replied that when you first take care of your spiritual life, God takes care of the rest.

Assistants, God is in control of everything, when we prioritize our spiritual life. So that’s why, consider what has been your main focus and evaluate your priorities. Above all don’t allow yourself to be dominated by the many chores, devaluing the investment in your interior through your communion with God. Know that when the “foundation” is strong and solidified, the “house” doesn’t collapse.

  1. I agree Ms. Viviane. It makes o much sense. Sometimes, we hear that prioritizing our spiritual life is a must and we hear it so much that it’s mention becomes repetitive but because God is a jealous God, regardless of how many priorities we can ever receive, we can never take for granted who comes first for us.

  2. This is very true, and exactly what I needed. A lot of the time I fear not knowing how to balance my time and how it will affect me (especially in the Work Of God and my responsibilities) but now I understand if I simply prioritise my communion with God … he will take care of the rest!!
