A dedicated Assistant!

In general when we think of a dedicated assistant, we immediately think of the assistant who is always in church that’s always ready to perform any task.

The one that never says “no” to anything, always very upright and her uniform always spotless and tidy.

The one thing that’s missing for her to be an angel is a halo.

When she’s in the presence of the person in charge or the Pastor she shows her quiet side, when in fact, only her family knows what’s behind that beautiful appearance.

Now I wonder: Are these the characteristics of a dedicated Assistant?
The answer is: NO!!
Let’s not confuse what we do with who we are!

Many even try to be truly dedicated but fail, because they only dedicate themselves to something that brings them benefit, honor and recognition.

So what is being dedicated truly mean?

Let’s see how the dictionary defines the word dedicated. It is something much deeper than we can imagine.

Dedicate:
Offer oneself
Consecrate
Reserved for
Wholly Committed
Sacrifice

Dedicated has a lot of meanings, it’s to OFFER your life on the altar. It’s to CONSECRATE your life, in other words, stay away from sin, from anything that harms you spiritually and, therefore, the reason why you need to sometimes be radical. It’s to RESERVE yourself solely to do the will of God. It’s to WHOLLY COMMIT to your calling, in favor of others. It’s to SACRIFICE everything for the greatest asset, your Salvation!

Many Assistants think that because they have been in the church for a long time they no longer need to dedicate themselves in this way.
What a mistake! What madness!

Oh yeah, and there’s more! Some even think that the Campaign of Israel is no longer for them.

Those who have ears to hear, listen carefully to what God intends for each of us!

  2. Thank you Mrs Vivi for this examination message because we hardly understand this difference between availability in the church with a dedication of me as an assistant in the church,so i will examine myself and change if i see these spots on me.
