5th day – Who is the Son of God?

Hello everyone. It is a pleasure to be here once again learning how to be one with Him. It’s been wonderful! If you really want be one with Him, are you willing to face the truth and resolve any problems?

Today let’s talk about who knows Jesus, or who is a child of God.

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1: 12,13)

The person who receives Jesus was given the power to be a child of God. In the past, Jesus was the only Child, but today He is the firstborn because there are more children born of God, those who believe in His name.

You may say, “But I believe!” Whoever believes, sacrifices his or her will. Renounces, surrenders. Are you willing to give up your own will, so that His will can prevail? Whoever believes is attentive to His voice, watching and waiting for the day the Lord will return.

Who are those who believe? They are not those born of “blood” or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of the man, but of God. It’s not because you are my “son”, my “sister” or Bishop Macedo’s daughter that you will automatically be born of God. Not at all! You have to be born of God and for that there must be this belief, surrender and sacrifice, this is what proves if you have given yourself completely to Him or not. There is no other way. He who believes doesn’t do so because of blood, flesh or my will, but because they have this belief.

Every day we are reading a few verses from the book of John and if you believe you will take possession of God’s promises. You will remember the teachings and take them seriously, keeping with you what you’ve heard. Do not forget them!

You know when you attend a church service and a lot of things were said and if you did not pay attention when you leave you think, “what was it he said?” You did not give it much importance, you did not hold on to it. If it were important to you, then you would carefully hold on to each word, you would have fear, and will not forget.

Those who believe know they have paid a high price by surrendering and therefore are always attentive, putting God first in their lives. God’s will is always first. We obey and please Him first. I put Him first in everything before my husband or myself.

“… who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God..”

Yesterday we talked about those who do not know Him. And today we’ll talk about those who do know Jesus:

– It is the person who is flexible

– Surrenders

– Is humble

– Is submissive

– Obedient

– God-fearing

This is key: those who know Jesus have the power to become a son or daughter of God. To have His DNA! Therefore they have peace, direction, and conviction… They fear no evil, they are confident!

When someone does not know God they do not have trust, has fears, and is shy.

For example, when given a new challenge, if you know Jesus although at first you might be nervous, you will make Him be participant in everything believing that He will be by your side all the time. That’s how you are able to overcome the challenges and fears.

Those who know Jesus are not born of “blood.” Sometimes, the person is convinced that he or she is a child of God, but when we look at their fruits we see no joy. Instead we see frustration, insecurity, no love for the souls, no self-worth or self-love… That way, how can they see anyone else’s worth?

But those who do know God are born through their belief and not words. Based on their practice and surrender, renunciation and sacrifice, as mentioned above.

Friends, everything depends on you in these 40 Days. What God had to do He already did! Now the ball is in your court, you have to do what is necessary to draw God’s attention through your belief and surrender.

Do not forget! Write to us about what drew your attention the most.

  1. I have been asking Jesus to help me to believe because I want to believe not just with my words. Now I understand that to believe is to show this through my actions, if I believe I will submit, and do Gods will instead of my will and bring into submission my thoughts, my reactions toward my husband, and the way I present myself and talk with others.

  2. What drew my attention here is where you talked about to put God first in everything, it is like the first fruit, before I do anything first God need to agree on it. He needs to be my first, if I have a bad or good news before share it with anyone first He needs to know. Today a pastor said the Holy Spirit pays attention to every details ( small details). The conclusion is first fruit is not just with my tithes but with everyday live. Thank you

  3. Hi Miss Viviane, to God all the glory, I thank God for revealing to me His precious word, His word is my life, my light in the darkness. Being a child of God, born in Him is my great desire to be one with Him, my desire is to please Him. When I received the Holy Spirit I saw all the fruit of Holy Spirit start bearing in me, I had brand new life, new thought and new heart. I’m grateful to be a child of God, nothing more important than this. To have His identity, in my word and in my action.

  5. When I first started this 40 Day – Being one with Him, I read in Day #1 that these 40 days is to withdrew any distractions including Television, worldly music, things that apart you from God. So that you can Focus on working hard with having a Communion with God. So I didn’t pay much attention to that and kept on, but for this whole week I have been thinking about doing these 40 day challenge because I know God wants it.
