27th day – Are you truly seeking the Lord Jesus?

” when the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they also got into boats and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus. And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, “Rabbi, when did You come here?”
Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” (John 6:24-27)

The crowd was looking for the Lord Jesus. They took their boats and departed for Capernaum.

They dedicated time to seek Him, but not in search of food that does not perish. On the contrary, their intention was to receive food like they had in the multiplication of the bread and fish. They worked for the physical food.

I do not know why you go to church, and what your intentions are when you seek the Lord Jesus. But one thing is certain: If you are seeking God because your friends are and you do not want to be left out, then you are not seeking the food that does not perish. God knows your intention and that way you will not achieve anything! You will receive, one thing, a deceiving spirit because you are not being sincere. The truth is, you do not want the Lord Jesus.

This is the reason why so many people are deceived. They go to the meeting because they are being motivated by others, and not because of what they want to achieve, or to reach their goal.

Another reason is because they repeat in their prayer what they hear, and do not express what truly lies within them. They do not expose their many doubts and feelings to God.

During the prayer you have your mouth closed, just praying in your thoughts. Meanwhile, what dominates your thoughts is what goes on around you. And the devil takes advantage of this so you can loose time in relation to your faith.

You are not looking for the food that does not perish. You go to church, fast, stop-watching TV, and are distracted by other things, like “bad conversations”, gossip, etc. You are not doing things with a purpose. Thus, you are deceiving yourself, and are waiting to receive the deceiver!

If you feel an emotion, in this state, by expressing yourself in a systematic manner, you will receive the deceiver and even become a possessed assistant, and the devil will want to deceive you because you are seeking the wrong way.

You have to seek God because you need to, not because others want to help you. Do it because you no longer tolerate your sin, imperfections, and the fact that you are a troubled person.

You already feel unrighteous! So, you have to talk to God. Seek Him the right way.

The crowd took the boat and went to the other side of the sea. They even revealed the disposition to do it, but with the wrong intention, they were seeking the food that Jesus could give them.

You will find God if you make Him part take in you life. Prepare for the meeting, and don’t let your thoughts run wild, or worry about that boy which you are passionate about. By doing so you are not being sincere!

Resolve the issue and expose yourself to God, use your intelligent faith, be sincere and transparent. Sincerity and transparency has nothing to do with emotion, nor comparison or competition. Resolve what is inside of you!
