20th day – What does your Faith consist of?

“After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”
And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.” (John 5:1-9) [/p-intro]
You might think, “What a privilege! Jesus saw the man, spoke to him, healed him… Meanwhile I’ve been in this situation for many years! I am not baptized with the Holy Spirit, I am not blessed sentimentally, I haven’t conquered in my financial life, etc. ” There are several factors that you can claim in this situation.
What does your faith consist of?
When Jesus ask the man a question, analyze the man’s response- normally someone who is sick should say “yes”, but instead he said, ” Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool…”
He immediately gave an excuse to why he had not yet been healed.
Many people are like that giving excuses like: “It’s because I’m weak, nobody helps me, nobody accompanies me… ” Full of excuses!
When, in fact, faith has no excuses.
Jesus asked a simply question, “Do you want to be made well?” Be healed from this infirmity of 38 years?
Then: “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”
If you mutter, observe the consequences, difficulties; the apparent lack of conditions, you will never put your faith in action and faith without works is dead!
What did Jesus do with this man? He made him take action, so the “work” can be completely done he had to do his part by rising!
Stop bowing down to your problems and making excuses, and waiting for others to make the decisions for you; what you have to do is take what has prevented you from conquering, like the man took his bed and put your faith in action!
Why do people often become compliant in their faith? The reason is that they do not prioritize the things of God, and they often depend on the situations around them to solve their problems.
When you find a solution to your inner being you will have an active faith!
Maybe you are in your 40’s and are worried because your friends are married, and you are behind, when in fact, you have to take action. How? By taking up your “bed”!
How? Take hold of the God’s Word, serve Him with all your heart, and say, “God, I do not know who the person for me is, but I want you to put the right person in my path!”
One day, I made this prayer to God, for I had dated before, but it did not work, and I wanted a boyfriend not to waste time, but to marry. So, I could not afford to make the mistake of being anxious, but I wanted to resolve the issue once and for all!
So I decided to invest in my spiritual life, serving God, giving Him the total direction in this situation. And I determined that: On the day of my sister’s wedding everyone would see my future husband at my side!”
I prophesied!
Do you realize that faith can even move God? When you prophesize, have the conviction, let Him be in control of your situation, and you’re not worried about the problem, but you get up and go forward. Then, God fulfills what you have determined as a virtue of your faith connection to Him!
On the day of my sister’s wedding, just as determined, I was already with my future husband by my side. We had already been dating for a month!
Notice the spirit of man: ““Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool…”
Are you doing the same by waiting for someone to help you, to intercede on your behalf by telling that guy you like him? You think others are ahead of you, but why haven’t you taken action? Not by going up to that person and precipitating yourself, because you will loose your value as a woman.
Men likes to conquer, therefore, you shouldn’t take on that role.
What you should do is get rid of the “bed” that makes you anxious and worried, whether it is about your sentimental, financial, or family life… Just go forward!
“And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.
And that day was the Sabbath.”
Nothing prevented Jesus from doing what should’ve been done, not even the fact that it was Saturday. No religion would dictate what He should do! What He says and does is not to be questioned.
But the religious people wanted to follow in accordance with the traditional teachings.
Faith is not a religion!
Religion says: “You must pay your tithe.” But what God teaches us is to prioritize Him, and be faithful to Him!

Hi Miss Viviane, thank you for edifying your message, I understood clearly, I receive and put in practice what you said. I agree to what you said, we don’t need anybody to help us, we must believed to the Word of God, have faith and trust God for the fulfilments of His Word. I thank God thru your message today, He answer my prayer to give me guidance in my love life, not to be anxious but to believe in Him. I put my trust on Him that He is working now in my Lovelife, God is preparing the right man for me, a man of God. And I take up my bed and walk by serving God and focus on my salvation, and continue working on my self. And God will bring the right man that comes from Him in a right time.

Good day Mrs Viviane.
This is so powerful. Many times I have looked at my situation and moaned about it, it does not work, one really has to ‘pick up the mat and go’ otherwise we get stuck in excuses. I had to exchange excuse and moaning to faith so that my life can walk.
Kisses.
