19th day – What does your belief consist of?

“So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.” The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!” Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!” Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household. This again is the second sign Jesus did when He had come out of Judea into Galilee.” (John 4:46-54)

Although this man who came to Jesus had a position of an officer of the king, Jesus did not base Himself on that when He uttered only one word, in which the man believed. At the same moment Jesus spoke the boy was cured!

He acted upon that word. But he still did not believe in Jesus in a consistent way. He needed to see a sign… When this happened, he truly acknowledged that He was of God, him and his entire house believed in Him.

When we first arrive to the church, we need to see signs so that we can believe in God’s existence because many people are disappointed and deceived by religions, words, etc. and therefore become incredulous. We know this is a reality and therefore, the signs are necessary so there can be an interest in knowing God and receiving the Holy Spirit.

Your belief should consist of making your relationship with God strong and that happens when you fully surrender to His Word, which makes a division between doubt and assurance- the lack of direction and having direction.

There are many people that are weak in their faith. Even though they have seen many signs of God, when the Campaign of Israel comes along or any other campaign they become malicious, and nonbelievers, why? They might even participate, but in their own way not the way God wants them to.

Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.”…” Jesus gave him no special treatment He did not go to his home to minister the healing as He did in other cases in the Bible.

There are situations where God wants us to show our trust in His Word, and He waits for us to maintain this belief until we receive the answer.

Many people loose the purity in their faith because they have not received the answer the way they want it or in the time they want it.
Therefore, you cannot rely only on receiving the answer to the miracle, but only on the Word of God. This will make you more mature and you will grow in your faith. It allows you to learn to trust and keep your thoughts clean.

I will tell you what happened to me: Here in Portugal, a campaign took place this year at the Holy Tomb. Every week I made my request to God. At that moment I was facing a health problem and I took the envelope saying, “I want to do the right thing! I want to be healed and no longer remain in the situation that I am experiencing in my health.” When I entered the tomb, there, I had the complete conviction, a conviction so great that there, at that moment, I was cured.
That week, three days later, I went through a difficult situation, but I persisted in my belief!

After that, I never suffered with these ups and downs…

I was tested! God gave me the assurance of my cure, and in the midst of my trials I had to remain firm in my belief.

Imagine that man, that officer, as he walked home… He remained steadfast in the Word regardless of any circumstance.

One of the main things we should pay attention to when we believe is our words. If we allow ourselves to mutter, look back, that’s it, our belief has become contaminated!

That is the reason why many become malicious. They do not do as Jesus commanded they allow their emotions to neutralize their faith. They become “old” prophets. They speak of God, but their life is like “dirty water”!

After what happened to me, I was so happy, like all the other times I acted on my belief in God. And each answer was a personal achievement in my faith! It was I that kept myself strong, and remaining until the end.

The same way you, friend, who is experiencing difficulties or facing “hell” because you are participating in this Campaign of Israel, that’s no reason to murmur, have bad thoughts or doubts because when you do that, and look at the circumstances, you have already spoiled the whole process in which began to produce the miracle.

It is important to believe in the Word of God, express your faith, because this renews you, makes you feel “young” in the faith, it renews your strength, gives you disposition, establishes credibility with people, because you have a living faith, and not a dead one without works. If your faith is dead then that’s when you become malicious, have confusion, disbelief, and you become a “burden” and vaccinate others against God. That’s the truth!

Reflect and after comment here on the Blog. Let me know what you have found out about yourself without using an emotional faith to convince yourself that you are “good”. Analyze your faith!
