Youth, what are your goals for 2014?

Another year has gone by and a new one has began. Many become emotional when it hits midnight and make many plans and promises for the New Year such as: Buying a new car, going to college, opening their own business, getting married, etc.

But, have you also thought about what you are going to do for these plans to come true? Have you thought of the sacrifice it takes and the obstacles you will have to face to achieve them?

Have you also include becoming a “new” person, changing your actions, and leaving behind everything that destroys you?

I will go even further, have you included God in your plans and have you put Him in first place?

Youth stop and think, how many people passed away in 2013? Maybe even one of your friends! Many of those people lost their lives for no apparent reason.

Have you ever thought that it could have been you?

Why wasn’t it you? Because you have been given a chance to change, to be someone different. You were chosen!

You might be asking, “Chosen for what, by whom? Look at my life, it’s like everything always goes wrong, nothing goes right. ”

Yes, you have been chosen!

But I ask you, have you made yourself chosen?

What have you done to become someone? What kind of actions have you taken? What have you planted last year in order to reap this year?

If you haven’t planted anything or have only planted bad things, then it’s time, this year, to plant good things.

Start with yourself. Invest in you inner being, take care of yourself more, get help with the right people. Study but not just because, put all your strength in it. Do your best at work, see what worked last year and do the same this year, but add something else: REVOLT!

Don’t forget that first you have to be good with your own self. Your inner being must be different so you can have the strength to conquer all your goals.

HE HAS NOT GIVEN UP ON YOU, HE BELIEVES IN YOU!

Do you believe in yourself?

Make this year, 2014, the year of your victory

A hug!

  1. Hi Ms Viviane, thankyou so much for this post.

We are now approaching the end of the year, but I decided to come and read this message because many of the goals I set myself at the beginning of this year did not come to pass and I believed that reading this post would help me to realise where I went wrong. Here in this post you’ve spoken about making sure that we set our goals and plan the necessary actions in order to achieve them, but for me what stood out was the word REVOLT and I realised that this was not included in some of the actions I took this year. I had goals that I had set and even written down, I included God in these goals by presenting them to Him and asking for His help and then I even went on to carry out the actions to achieve them but because there was no revolt in me toward these goals, many of them did not come to pass.
I really understand that we cannot be relaxed with our goals. If we consider something as a goal its because we believe that we can achieve it. Therefore by all means we must fight to obtain that goal and the fight must be with revolt.

Thankyou again for this post, there is 2 months left until the end of 2014 and I determine that I will achieve the goals that I set myself at the beginning of this year in this revolted spirit.
