What do I keep inside?

What do you carry and keep inside your heart?

Grief, disappointment or a trauma?

Are you sure there isn’t anything else?

You might say you don’t have anything inside your heart, but when certain things happen in your life you transform to the point where you don’t even recognize yourself.

You, yourself must have been surprised when you got married, and the way you reacted when things didn’t go the way you planned. You got surprised because your reaction was from something that you have kept inside your heart. There are several examples: when you felt unloved you became insecure, jealous and even selfish.

One feeling generates another.

So … how can I get rid of my feelings or the past?

Well, it’s impossible to get rid of your feelings because you’re a human being , subject to failures and errors. But you can get rid of what you keep inside. But how?

Rebuking it by using your reason.

Ask yourself the following:

Why do I keep what hurts me inside? Why let it have life, by causing a cancer inside of me?

Why do I insist that the past becomes my present?

I wasn’t born to keep things that aren’t good for me. That’s why there’s a garbage bin and that’s exactly where I need to put it.

1st I Question

2nd I Hate it

3rd I pursue what I really want

And the last thing is the most effective of all. I keep the word of God inside of me. This is the Word that cleans me and generates life and gives me peace.

 
” If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love…. ” John 15:10

Now consider this:

Do you rather keep the past or the Word of God?

You’re the one that has to make the decision, but not just with words but with actions.

One thing I know … that if I keep the commandments, I won’t have feelings, but I will truly love God and others.

I will overcome all my feelings. This is true freedom!
