Unstable Parents

These days, when I called a lady who I hadn’t seen for some time in the Church, she informed me that she was attending another denomination, in order to accompany some of her family members. This is after some time of hearing about the practice of the intelligent faith.

Her daughter was a frequent participant in the classes of Sunday school.

The truth is that this unstableness, far from not benefiting the parents, can you imagine the confusion that it creates in a child or a young teenager, who are learning the foundations of faith?!

Father and mother, pay attention to your decisions and realize that this type of uncertainness will have repercussions beyond what you see now … How will you “bear” true children of faith, and not “religious” ones, if you yourself are not yet defined?!

Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.”
But the people said nothing.   (I King18: 21)

Over the years, while following cases of families, we have seen situations where there was finally a definition, both or one parent, returned to practice the intelligent faith. But because they lived undefined for so long, their children ended up “dispersing”, not following any kind of belief.

These parents, once reunited to the Altar, through sacrifice, cry out today for the renovation of their children.

Is it possible? Yes, of course … while there is time!
But dear parents, we will not run after the “harm”, but stabilize our steps, stopping from living the “flavor” of the waves of unstableness.

Till next time. In faith!

  5. This is very interesting. It’s is so true that sometimes we forget that we are the example not only to our children but also family members. We have to let our yes be yes and stick with it till the end.
