To serve (Part III)

How can I give life, if I am “dead”?

How could I be dead?

You are only aware of the Word of God but there is nothing new in your life. You read the Bible, coming quickly to a “conclusion” of what it means, but in your day to day you don’t compare what you read with your life. You increase your knowledge but you hinder your relationship with God.

You act with an emotional faith, thinking you are doing the right thing. You talk about what you read but have difficulties in solving your problems, which you consider “normal”. You have knowledge of the Word of God only to fulfill your religious duties, but do not apply it in your own life.

Your aim is usually to help others or to work on your realization, but you do not invest on your inner being, because you think you are a “good person” who is always attentive to all who is around you, and that’s enough to be “good with God”.

The fact is that you do not live in a renewal of life. Your experiences are only with the power of God, for example the deliverance of an addiction, the cure of a disease, the family member that converts, etc., but there is nothing that is connected to your own relationship with God. There is nothing that involves your being.

Reading the Bible no longer brings you satisfaction, praying does not give you the answers, you no longer have pleasure in seeking God, and your praise does not express a sincere love for God. But you still use supposedly convincing words such as: “The Bible brings me satisfaction”; “God is blessing”; “I am seeking God;” I am in the fight “, etc.

When we hear that person praise God, we realize what kind of relationship they have with God. Their words do not express the truth from within, but only that they know how to praise.

Truly, that person has no idea what he or she is doing. And do you know why?

  1. Thank you Mrs Viviane. This is true. As servants we dont drink or use the medicine we give to others. We talk of what we know about God and not our experience with God. What I learned from the article is to do a self analysis of myself. I learned that words kills but the Spirit of the Word gives life.

  2. This really spoke to me, because sometimes I see myself doing a lot physically but still feel stuck in my relationship with God. I understood that it is much more than just doing things.

  3. Thank you Mrs Vivi for the message.
We often make the mistake of neglecting our souls and focus more on appearing like saints to other people, I like the fact that you mention that when we do so we don’t live in a renewal of our faith, and a renewal of faith is constent we can’t skip a day without communicating with God with pure sincerity so He may be able to help us with our inner afflictions.

I’m wide awake thanks to this message. Thank you again!
