To serve (Part III)

How can I give life, if I am “dead”?

How could I be dead?

You are only aware of the Word of God but there is nothing new in your life. You read the Bible, coming quickly to a “conclusion” of what it means, but in your day to day you don’t compare what you read with your life. You increase your knowledge but you hinder your relationship with God.

You act with an emotional faith, thinking you are doing the right thing. You talk about what you read but have difficulties in solving your problems, which you consider “normal”. You have knowledge of the Word of God only to fulfill your religious duties, but do not apply it in your own life.

Your aim is usually to help others or to work on your realization, but you do not invest on your inner being, because you think you are a “good person” who is always attentive to all who is around you, and that’s enough to be “good with God”.

The fact is that you do not live in a renewal of life. Your experiences are only with the power of God, for example the deliverance of an addiction, the cure of a disease, the family member that converts, etc., but there is nothing that is connected to your own relationship with God. There is nothing that involves your being.

Reading the Bible no longer brings you satisfaction, praying does not give you the answers, you no longer have pleasure in seeking God, and your praise does not express a sincere love for God. But you still use supposedly convincing words such as: “The Bible brings me satisfaction”; “God is blessing”; “I am seeking God;” I am in the fight “, etc.

When we hear that person praise God, we realize what kind of relationship they have with God. Their words do not express the truth from within, but only that they know how to praise.

Truly, that person has no idea what he or she is doing. And do you know why?

  2. Emotional faith leads to a dead faith. Our actions must be supported by a intelligent faith from within

Thank you for this message. Indeed, serving God is not just anyhow. Serving God I have to put my all and practice what ever I heard or learn. Seeking His presence wholeheartedly every single day is very crucial for me because to serve God I have to be strong spiritually. This message is a great reminder for me. Thank you.

  5. Thank you Mrs. Viviane, for this message. Thinking myself of what I’m doing after reading this message. It’s so true that I can’t help others if I’m not well spiritually, if my communion with God is not strong, I must practice, act and live for it what I’m reading because serving God is not just anyhow it’s spiritual. This message is reminder for me and alerting me.

  6. Good day Mrs. Viviane. I was mesmerized myself while reading your message. Indeed no matter how much we do and help in the work of God but how about my very own personal communion with my God. With so many thoughts to go when we are doings things for others. That sometimes in a small details we might missed the most valueble time with the Creator. I don’t accept to be dead of my relationship with my Lord. Thank you for this message and reminder as well.
