To serve (Part II)

There are several ways to serve, as we mentioned in the previous post, but God does not accept everything.

Someone who evangelizes, counsels people, is active in the Church, is not doing anything wrong, but how does this flow from within you?

If you are inactive, that is, your faith is inactive, when you counsel someone you only transmit the awareness of God’s Word, but not the life that is in God’s Word! You are not serving God. You are doing the “Work” of God like the Pharisees:

“Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.”(Mt.23: 26-28).

This uncleanness that the Word of God mentions, is when you ignore the fact that it is your duty to correct your mistakes, because you think that everyone makes mistakes! For this reason you tolerate your sins, live with them and only have the appearance of being holy.

Many, after receiving the Holy Spirit, think they do not have to take care of their salvation, because they feel they are already saved and do not need to maintain it. They just think about helping others and not themselves.

Serving God begins inside of me, and only after can I serve him externally!

  1. Very strong indeed Mrs Vivi
I understood that I can not serve God in lies teaching people things that I do not do I should first apply it to myself before I can teach other people not to the Pharisee
in everything I should consider my salvation .

  2. This is very true. One can only serve God externally if only the internal relationship is well taken care of..

  3. Good day

I recently understood how important my communion with God is when it comes to serving. How I live, whether or not I live in the faith will determine the fruit that is produced. When I become a living sacrifice for God, living in the faith and always walking in Spirit, it is not how much I do or what I say that will bless the work of God but when I speak, lay my hands on people or pray, the Holy Spirit that I live by will testify to the work of the gospel. Remembering the seven sons of Sceva who tried to undo the works of the devil by casting out evil spirits, the demons beat them up because they did not have or live by the Holy Spirit, who is our counselor, who guides us into walking righteously, they probably didn’t live the faith, they just did what they saw Jesus and Paul do. I realized that I have to examine myself and always be consecrated to God so that the tree which is me; will bare good fruit that will last.

Thank you for the messages, they are very helpful.

True, we need to maintain what we’ve just started, it is really refreshing, every messages that you can read and analyzing oneself, then it’s coming back, oooops, we are forgeting something…., something that we should do, to evaluate ourselve, be guarded always, we can help others, but we need to help our own first. Thank you.
