To exercise or not?

I confess I’m not a fan of doing exercise, although after a good workout I feel great, but the truth is that I need it, we all need to exercise more in one way or another.

Being healthy is also a way to workout.

My friend, Fabiola Bianco, is a professional in Physical Education. For 14 years she worked as a personal trainer giving classes to all ages (6 months to 90 years old!). As a Personal Trainer she specializes in taking care of women with all different needs. She will give us practical tips for us to have a good start… So here we go!

Fabiola: “You may ask me, where do I start? ” Well, any change requires sacrifice and I will teach you some things that aren’t so difficult. These changes don’t require great preparation only great disposition.

First change: Stretch out upon waking up. Yes! But it has to be a good stretch. This will get your blood flow going. It will wake up your muscles for what comes next- Stretching. Even while still in bed stretch out your legs trying to reach your toes, even if you can’t touch them, insist. Stretch your arms up to one side and then the other. And finally, your neck: Put your chin down toward your chest and push your head down lightly with your hands. It only takes 3 minutes at most, and you will get up differently, believe me.

Second change: Don’t take the elevator. I can already imagine what your reaction might be upon reading this, but don’t think I’m crazy. Look at the benefits this has, It will work the same muscles you would if you were to take a step class at the gym (except this is free) the gluteus, thighs, and abdomen. If I’m not wrong these are the areas where most women complain about. Isn’t it right? To start, go up a few floors of your building (you can stop in the middle to catch your breath) Then, start doing it at work, at the mall and where ever you find stairs. Do not be discouraged! You may feel tired at first, but you will notice improvement every day. Note on your posture while climbing the stairs, stand up straight, tightening your abdomen. It may seem like a little, but for you that have a sedentary life, it will make a big difference.

Moment of truth… who exercises regularly?

The same way we need to exercise our muscles to maintain a strong and healthy body, we must do with our faith. We must always exercise it. Throw out everything that is not good, all doubts and negative thoughts and move on persevering until you reach your goal. All things are possible to those who believe!

See you next week.
