Taking advantage of every opportunity

In these last days I have been thinking about taking advantage of the opportunities in the life of my son.

We don’t belong to this world but we live in it and sometimes the situations which we suffer makes us disappointed and fall, this is unavoidable… in these moments of pain and disappointment the heart tightens that it even hurts and we have to teach our children to use their faith and no longer depend on ours.

Today, when Gabi told me what happened in the classroom and asked me to go to the school and speak to the teacher and the mother of the classmate that did wrong aganist him, I confess that it hurt; but at that very moment I told him, “Son, I can go and speak to them without any problem, however we will talk to God about it first, right now! He is the only one that can touch the hearts of your friends and get them to change. ”
We prayed and cried out together and trusted that God heard us and has already changed the situation.

Unfortunately I was not taught to use my faith in this way, instead I grew up trusting people, retaliating and being disappointed, doing worse things to them than they did to me and depending on others to help me etc.
But my son will not have to suffer in the same way I suffered, let alone reap the fruits of his wrong attitudes. The consequence of my lack of dedication in teaching him the most precious thing that I have.

Dear Mom and friend, the best thing we can leave for our children without a doubt is the heritage of the Faith, because through it, not only will they be able to resolve and overcome their problems rationally and without suffering but become real overcomers, starting with the assurance of their salvation.

  5. Thank you for sharing this inspiring experience. For many time the temptation is to deal with our feelings and act in a way that doesn’t challenge the children to manifest faith but rather depend on us to solve the problem. However this article teaches us the practical way to pass faith to our children for them to develop an independent faith. A powerful tool that will transform our homes as we raising children in the faith.

  6. Very true, yes I have to see that my son has every essential need catered for in the physical world but I can not forget to take care of his spiritual need. It is the source of his life/ being and if his being is not well cared for all the other works I do in my sons life will not be fruitful and fulfilling there will be an emptiness, a gap not filled in his life and soon or later the consequences would show.
