Hello girls, because we have spoken about what to wear to Church before, today I want to talk about what not to wear, in our day-to-day lives, and much less to Church!

Clothes are meant to cover us up, right?! Do you remember how God covered up Adam and Eve’s nakedness when they were in the Garden of Eden?

However, most women’s clothes nowadays seem to be more for showing, rather than hiding.

Our style of clothing should not get us into trouble, or be the downfall of any man. Why would you allow your body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit, to draw attention to you? Besides, it may also portray the wrong idea about you. Pay attention to fashion, because it may not always be for you, just like it shouldn’t be for any other woman, being that it degrades your image.

My friend, you are free to wear whatever you want. Of course, nobody is going to stop you from coming in the Church, even if you are wearing a ‘strapless’ shirt or a mini-skirt, but there are places, like at work, a job interview, a funeral, before an authority, etc., where you certainly would not wear that kind of clothes. And if it isn’t right to wear them in these places and situations, just think, let alone in Church! It has everything to do with what is inside you and what are your intentions.

More examples: Don’t use low necklines, don’t let your stomach hang out, don’t allow your gluteal cleft to show when you sit down, and don’t wear skirts that are too tight or too short. They may seem to be at a good length, but try sitting down at home and do the test: Where does it end up, at the middle of your thighs? Short shorts (They should be at the knees, like the skirt), sheer blouses, bras that can be seen, pants that show your tiny underwear.

Check your clothes before leaving the house:

Stand in front of the mirror, stretch out your arms and try to see if your bra can be seen through your shirt’s sleeves. Raise your arms and see if your belly shows. Bend forward (as if picking something up from the floor) and see if your bra or anything else is showing…

While your in this position, also check to see if your gluteal cleft is showing and, finally check if your underwear can bee seen through your clothes. That’s it, you’re ready!

Test done and approved, respectful and lovely skirt!

  3. I have a problem. I don’t know whether what I’m wearing is appropriate or not. I have a large behind, which means that most trousers will fit me like a glove in that area. I do often feel uncomfortable because I feel like my body is exposed. But the other option is wearing baggy clothes which aren’t flattering at all, and leave me looking bigger than I am. So it’s a bit of a dilemma. Pants are always tight on me and I worry that I look too sexy. But the same pants will look appropriate on someone who is less curvy. Should I sacrifice looking my weight and opt for looser fitting clothes? Or is it not as ‘sexy’ as I am paranoid it is? I am 22 years old, so I also don’t want to dress older than I am.
