Matthew 10.16-19
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

Hi Mrs. Viviane, thank you for sharing this message. It is so wonderful to be in the presence of God and not have this anxiety of how we will handle injust criticism and persecution. That was something major I noticed when I received the Holy Spirit. The relief of not having to worry about what I will say or how I will defend myself when my faith is in question.
What God spoke to me in these verses was the contradiction between God asking us to be like serpents and like sheep. It is such a fine balance, one we cannot maintain without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. A balance all with the goal of salvation in mind.
