How a believer acts

Hello everyone. It is a pleasure to be here with you to help you have a goal, a purpose in life.

Because when you do not have a purpose you become unmotivated, powerless, and unwilling to go until the end. However, when you do have a goal everything becomes different. You have willingness and energy and even if you feel very tired you find the strength to pursue your goals.

“Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of God?” He answered and said, “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?” And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.” Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him. ” (John 9: 35-38)

When there is a belief, there is action. Many people say they believe in God, but are still “friends” with the world. They have one foot in the world and another in the Church. When they are with demon-possessed people or non-believers they act like them and only when they are inside the Church they remember about God, therefore their belief is in no way materialized. They just go to church to fulfill their vows or as a religious role, however they do not assume this belief at home, work, or among family members.

When a person takes on their faith in Jesus they are not always well seen or welcomed because their behavior changes.

Obviously, the non-believers feel bad because their conscience accuses them. Therefore, they ignore or confront the servant of God in one way or another because they feel uncomfortable to be around them.

Just like Jesus heard that they had cast out the blind man, He sees when your friends cast you out because of your faith. When you are “kicked out” of your family, etc. “Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him:

““Do you believe in the Son of God?”

He answered and said, “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?”

And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.”

Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him. ”

The man appeared to have one goal: To believe! To follow what the Lord Jesus told him. Whatever He said he would obey! He was being flexible and so is a person who is willing to serve God.

There is no room for “my way, my will, etc.” as many people insist on doing. When someone insists on believing in their own way they do not get the results they want from the Christian faith.

So I ask you: Have you assumed the faith you profess, or only assume it in front of those who know and agree with you? Have you assumed it before those who feel uncomfortable with your exemplary and valuable behavior, a behavior that transmits life?

That man believed in the Lord Jesus and worshiped Him!

When there is a belief we naturally obey and worship God. Why? Is it because of a religion? No! It is because of the gratitude we have for what He has done in our lives, and because He did not look at our past or failures, but gave us opportunities, loving us as nobody has ever done.

So it is natural that there is obedience, followed by adoration. And not just in the Church but in spirit and truth, constantly in our thoughts.

An ungrateful person has inappropriate behavior, opposite of someone who is grateful. A grateful person is humble, full of grace, characteristics that many do not possess.

I would like you, reader, to evaluate your conduct, faith, and belief. How have you acted among the non-believers?

  1. Hello mrs Vivian,
Thank you for sharing as I can remember I used to be this way being religious coming to church four times a week and still think God must come and change me but did’t want to sacrifice my will on the Altar, until one day the penny drop and I decide to change I understood I can’t love God and love the world at the same time. That is when I start see changes.
Now I have to make a goal to achieved things to keep me going, many times when negative though come I remember the gold I set and where I want to be. Our friends should be able to see the changes in our life and want to change as well, when we have God everything changes in our life and therefore if we act two different way we are not a child of God.

  2. Mrs vivie,

This is true, believers insist on moving in their own ways and not the ways Christ expects from them . act so Holy in the church but they yoke themselves with non believers when out of the church and act like them.
this is a character that is not expected of a believer, we have to remain in faith and true to Jesus Christ where ever we are… as believers we not transformed by this world but through the word of God.

  3. Thank you Mrs Vivian,I understood two things from this message.Firstly that I must know my goal.If my mission is to serve God,then I must work towards achieving it.Secondly I learned that faith must be followed by supporting actions.I must act as a believer wherever I go.

  6. Thank you Mrs Vivian for your post.
I can identify with what you mentioned above. I was once this kind of beliver who used to go to Church for the sake of it, in other words to clear my conscious because I grew up gong to church. I had no aim or a goal in relation to my spiritual life and therefore I would go to Church and still living my life the way I wanted, I was not ready to surrender my entire life and because of this, there were no results.
Changes only happened when I made a decision to throw myself in the hands of God, I had to let go of my ways, cut contacts with friends who I used to hang out with. Some of them hated me and critised me for my faith, but you know what, their friendship did not matter anymore because I had found a Best friend.
