I know how bad it is to want to change your eating habits and then go back to your old wrong ways again.

It took me years to change my eating habits and let me tell you, until today it’s a struggle, but as I’ve said before we always have options.

After all, eating is part of our everyday life, to be more precise 5 times a day.

Many of us get devastated when there is something we can’t do. We want to be this perfect person and when we see we’re not, we get disappointed. This path doesn’t lead to success. If for some reason you’ve failed to reach your goal, then it’s one more reason to continue persevering.
Every day we can become better but we can never reach perfection only God is perfect! So let’s lift up our heads and move on. Let’s learn from some common mistakes.

If you…

1. In the first week you had many unexpected situations in which didn’t let you follow the diet plan 100% – Then start again this week!

2. Only had yogurt or fruit and not the other snacks, because you didn’t have them at home – That’s not so bad – Prepare snacks ahead of time, and never leave home without them in your bag.

3. Couldn’t drink water every day; this is perhaps the greatest difficulty for many. Don’t give up! Keep a 1-½ liter bottle of water with you at all times. See drinking water as something “fancy”

4. Forgot to eat the morning and afternoon snacks – Set an alarm on your phone, computer, etc. to help you remember. This is very important, but don’t worry this week will be better!

5. Could not work out  – Try to do little things such as: climbing the stairs instead of using the elevator, dancing at home, spring cleaning, plan to take a walk in the park, etc.

Know that:

The problem is not when you eat unhealthy one day, it’s when you do it every day or almost every day.

TIPS

* Try choosing one day out of the week to eat something that you crave, this will make following your diet plan easier and with greater focus.

*At every meal choose to eat vegetables and fruits of all different colors, this will make mealtime more interesting.

*The key is to never give up doing what is good for you, every day!

  1. This week I will definitely set out a diet plan so I can eat more healthy. Even though I am an average weight and size and is of average, I don’t have a balanced diet and eat what I should. I love chocolate, fizzy drinks and cake so much but I think it’s time to cut down. I will also start exercising. I don’t exercise at all but I really should. Thanks you for the blog today it really has helped me. It just goes to show that doing little but often really is effective and the best opportunity to keep fit and healthy. Especially to fit into your busy schedule.
