A grudge is so evil that it can pass from a mother to a child, without her not even noticing it.

I always compare a grudge to cancer, which keeps on sprawling and destroying people. It’s a feeling that only hurts those who feel and keep it, capable of ruining a future, preventing from reaching dreams, frustrating objectives and most importantly, it can lead to the loss of salvation.

Dear Mom, whatever the situation may have been, it’ll never be worth keeping this feeling, as a form of revenge. Understand once and for all, that who loses is only you. And as if that weren’t enough, you even convey all this dirtiness to your child that could and certainly deserves a healthy spiritually life, free of all this evil.

Forgiveness brings freedom! Thus, free yourself and your child, take action and sacrifice this feeling, because this sacrifice is what will ensure your faith.

  1. Yes sacrifice is denying ourselves, it is the key to get rid of grudge. At first it may appear as if we are loosing in reality the loser here is the feeling , the grudge and the stronger here is us.

  3. Thank you for your post.
Forgiving may not always be the easiest thing to do… Especially when something very hurtful was committed.
However it is the most rewarding thing, because when you forgive you are finally able to move on.

    God Bless

  4. Grudges. When I was a child growing up I was taught not to see what other people have and want the same as this is grudge. I grew up with this mentality and it has helped me to eradicate any form of grudges, from a small one to a big one that evil might want to pass to me. We have to be very focused in order to stay away from the plans of the devil. Watch and pray, lest we fall into temptations.

  6. I learnt that grudges are contagious. It’s very true, recently I have been viewing a person in a bad way because I didn’t like the way they speak to me or how they criticise the things that I do. I spoke and I believe that I am free from this hatred that I had in my heart. I understand that holding grudges makes me like Satan, and that is not how I want to be. I want to reflect God’s image and kindness even if I have to let go of something that is do dear to me- my pride. I feel a heavy burden being released from my shoulders as I write this.

    1. Even though I may not have any Grudges, I have to keeping searching within myself that I do not carry any negative feelings towards anyone or thoughts can lead to a grudge. I learnt that if I have anything affecting me it is always best to speak up about it for someone who can help me, and getting rid of any doubts. Thank you for this message.
