From children to Parents : In the “autopilot”

Recent news caught my attention, bringing a certain “shock”, by the surrounding circumstances: A father forgot his daughter in the car, who eventually died.
And as incredible as it may seem, the episode is not isolated! Many other cases have already occurred and they continue to happen … For example in the USA, 1 child is forgotten inside a vehicle, every 9 days.
Many will say: “How awful, how is that possible?” Maybe like how I thought too… But the truth is that we live in an age of “autopilot” in which each one lives for himself/herself, busy with many responsibilities, going from one side to the other, almost instantly, without thinking, reasoning and evaluating the consequences of their actions.
Have you ever crossed a road without looking, and almost got hit by a car? What did you think?
“I have to be more careful; I can’t continue at this rhythm! ”
But could it be that you really slowed down, and thought about how valuable your own life and that of others is? The frantic pace of today’s society, has not only played a role in the lack of attention from parents towards their children or in the destruction of marriages by the “lack of time”, but has reached an alarmingly severe and fatal form, as the one we referred above.
In fact, the priorities have been “changed” – even inadvertently – placing “things” as material goods and work, in front of God, family …and life! And this is the result of a significant lack of vigilance and neglect of the true values that we learned as fundamental, but that have been overlooked and undervalued.
Do not stop interceding for you and your loved ones, because there is much it can do, for it’s efficiency, a fervent prayer of a righteous one, but allied to that, be vigilant, watchful, so that you remain free of “traps”.
Know that your soul is costly, that the Lord Jesus has already paid on the Calvary’s cross, and the devil, realizing how many times we “facilitate” things, uses these “weaknesses” to promote the destruction, causing the inner chaos by trauma, unbearable internal pain and so many other losses, that haven’t been addressed, may become irreversible … especially for our soul.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because[c your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (I Peter 5: 8)
