Nowadays clothing just keeps getting tighter, isn’t it true? As far as pants go we always have to look for a style that favors us and doesn’t expose certain areas too much. So today I will talk about a very popular style that are very easy to find and best of all is very versatile.

These types of pants are tighter on the hip, thighs and widens on the knee, sort of like bell-bottoms expect they aren’t as wide.

These types of pants are called flare pants and they can be used in your everyday life, at work, at an event, or an informal outing depending on what type of shoes, shirt, or accessories you wear them with.

You can use them with a simple cotton shirt or with a beautiful silk shirt it depends on where you go, your budget, and personal taste.

There aren’t many rules to follow when it comes to flare pants, but I’ll leave a few tips for those who are short. Try to look for a flare style that is the least wide on the bottom. Try to wear them with high heels, which will make you look taller.

In order to go out of the normal with your outfit you can match them with different prints and patterns that can give you a “bolder ” look. It’s always good to get out of the basic and try more modern and colorful pieces.

They can be used in various ways for example: if you prefer a more casual look, wear a pair of flare jeans with a low shoe and a mullet shirt in a neutral color or pattern, you will look nice and will be ready to go out with friends, if you prefer a more sophisticated look you can choose a pair of flare leather or black pants with a printed top and high heel and you will be ready.

I almost forgot, pay attention to the length of the pants, they should not be too long or reach the floor that’s very ugly LOL. Get them hemmed if necessary.

See the pictures below for some examples.

  1. When I used to live in Portugal I had one of those which I loved so much but with time didn’t fit me anymore but I’ve been trying to find it because I find it really elegant, the hard part is finding my size because I’m tall and slim.
By me reading this motivated me to get it and have it on my wardrobe ?

  2. I have at least two pair of flare pants and I must say that they are very fashionable! I definitely agree with your advice of wearing them with heels. They give you more of a dressy look. When worn with a blazer and accessorized correctly the look could even pass as professional. Thank you for your tips!
