Envy makes someone exclude themselves and intelligence does not

“But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind and received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight. And they asked them, saying, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”
His parents answered them and said, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; but by what means he now sees we do not know, or who opened his eyes we do not know. He is of age; ask him. He will speak for himself.” His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that He was Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue. Therefore his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.”
So they again called the man who was blind, and said to him, “Give God the glory! We know that this Man is a sinner.”
He answered and said, “Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.”
Then they said to him again, “What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes?”
He answered them, “I told you already, and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become His disciples?”
Then they reviled him and said, “You are His disciple, but we are Moses’ disciples. We know that God spoke to Moses; as for this fellow, we do not know where He is from.”
The man answered and said to them, “Why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know where He is from; yet He has opened my eyes! Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him. Since the world began it has been unheard of that anyone opened the eyes of one who was born blind. If this Man were not from God, He could do nothing.”
They answered and said to him, “You were completely born in sins, and are you teaching us?” And they cast him out.” (John 9: 18-34)

When a person is envious, they exclude themselves from God’s plan.

God came to save everyone, but each person decides if they include or exclude themselves from the plan of salvation. If a person insists on being envious they will have feelings of inferiority.

When we do not use our intelligent faith, we are subject to use an emotional faith, which makes our personality, character or behavior not be included in the plan of salvation. For example, there are people who feel inferior to others, eventually envying them. The way they defend themselves and increase their self-esteem is to speak badly of those they envy. And by looking for a see reason or mistake to condemn them with, thus creating dissension and trouble. They do not see that their problem is inside.

The problem was not that the Jews held the Sabbath sacred, it was the envy they felt because Jesus had done what they could not. They did not manifest their faith and therefore could not be used by God.

Imagine if someone comes along to take your place and plays the role of a “man of God” that you did not. How would you feel? Envious! A person’s who reacts this way does not submit to serving God, but to serve only himself or herself.

When they called the blind man, they said to give glory to God. They did not see realize they were wrong!

When we use an emotional faith, we do not realize we are wrong.

We are not reading the Word of God to condemn the Jews and Pharisees, but to realize who they were and how they reacted. If you are envious, and separate yourself from others you are the one who will lose out. You will have bad eyes, hold a grudge, and have a burden.

The blind man was a free man! He did not have to stay in the synagogue to please them. He was cured and acknowledged that Jesus healed him.

“Since the world began it has been unheard of that anyone opened the eyes of one who was born blind. If this Man were not from God, He could do nothing.”

He took on his faith! I appreciate and applaud this faith, not giving him glory, but because he believed he became independent and strong.

This is intelligent faith and this makes us be chosen by God. It makes us righteous before Him.

Many are not realistic or righteous because they use an emotional faith. This does not please God, because who can help when anyone who loves and defends what is unrighteous like emotions? If your emotions help you would not be suffering the way you are.

Use your intelligence! When you feel something contrary to what you should feel, think. Act with intelligent faith, because God is pleased when we base ourselves in what is righteous, because He is righteous, the Truth, and the Light!

Whoever accepts the Light, accepts the truth, and accepts what is righteous and they submit to learning. The Jews and Pharisees did not want to learn, they wanted to impose their rules. And if you are like them you will lose out because you exclude yourself.

I hope, friend, that you do not exclude yourself!

I will await your comments. Will you exclude yourself? What will you do to change that? Will you confront the feelings that are there from the past, from someone’s comments, or result of your five senses?

I leave you this space to think and comment.

  1. Thank you for inspiring with such a powerful message. I will not allow emotions to take over my decisions, God gave me a brain to think and when I think without using emotions – I am in the alignment with the mind of God. We come to exercise our faith when we use the mind instead of emotions.

    Thank you Mrs Viviane.

From reading your blog today, I saw that the message behi d what you wrote about was very much relating to me. I have to be very watchful. I really don’t want to be the reason for not being apart of God’s plan.
    Thank you.

  3. This article is so true, if we allow our emotions to fill our hearts then we will be filled with unpleasant thoughts and emotins we need to think about everything and live by emotions.

  4. When I started reading this article, I didn’t see where it was going, but as I got to the end I realised how much it links with something I realised last week and have been pushing to practice. Last week I learnt that I lost a lot of opportunities and did not repsond or react to certain situations and problems properly simply because I was thinking and acting out of emotion. I realised that a lot of the solutions I came up with were based on a ’emotion-contaminated’ faith. I kept doing things because ‘I felt sorry for so-and-so.’ Or I would feel bad when I had to make deisions which contradicted those around me. I didn’t realise that the more I went by me feeling sorry for someone, I was suffocating my faith and instead acting based on an emotional faith; jeopardising my salvation and spiritual life. For example, last week I realised how emotional I was being, I decided to put my emotions aside in regards to a particular situation which involved someone dear to me, once I stopped exercising an emotional faith and used my intelligent faith, I saw the result from that.

  5. This blog really open my eyes to be a lot more watchful of myself. I would often feel inferior to others and because I was waiting to be called to join to participate in certain activities or ask to be taken charge of a responsibility, I excluded myself and wondered why it was happening. I thought the people around me were doing it on purpose and they didn’t like me. But I realized and even more now reading the blog I was selfish and not spiritually watchful to see what was happening. The devil really took advantage and manipulated certain situations placing negative thoughts in my mind. It’s so true that the Holy Spirit cannot use us like this as its more of our flesh and less of Him. It’s something that is inside of us and if we do not search to find the Root, we will lose out on what He can reveal to us.

    1. I would also saw that I also had a lack of faith and doubted myself often so I would exclude myself thinking I was unable to do something I should leave it to others. This was the wrong attitude and reach day I work on being bold in my Faith as that the only way to conquer and to please Him and the beauty is what I am unable to do the HS shows me

  6. Feelings and emotions – a total hinderance for us to experience the greatness of God, whereas intelligent faith makes us able to understand the plan of God – i will not follow emotions but will use my intelligent faith.
