Day 2 – You can’t imagine … how what God is asking for will benefit you!

Hello to all the cybernauts. Yesterday we started the Fast of Daniel.

Today is the 2nd Day. And we will continue with the book of John, chapter 4, where we are talking about the Samaritan woman.

If you didn’t have the opportunity to hear the first day, I suggest you start from the beginning, because you will only gain from it.

“Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” (Jn.4: 10)

When Jesus asked the Samaritan woman to give Him a drink, she interrogated Him on why would He ask her for such a thing … that is what we talked about yesterday. And today He said to her: “…“If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

Ah … if you my cybernaut friend, knew the gift of God, the present of God; if you knew the wonderful God that I have to give you, you wouldn’t interrogate, but would say: “What else do you want from me Lord? The Lord can ask me for all my water – which is my life – simple, which is not something eternal, nothing but problems, difficulties, weaknesses, mistakes, sins … what else does the Lord want from me?”

In fact, when God was speaking to me through this passage, I had tears in my eyes. Why? Because God asks for something so simple, and we make a “big deal” out of it. It seems that when He asks for something—and I speak of myself—when He asks for something of mine, sometimes I feel like you feel … that God is asking for something that belongs to me, that I conquered with so much sacrifice, and now He asks for something that I didn’t even had the pleasure to enjoy it the way I wanted.

And when I read this passage, I understand that, my cybernaut friend, what He asks of us is not something from “out of this world”; what I am feeling is that it is something from out of this world, yes! Because the feelings are confusing, infernal, and they make a mess in our head. He is only asking for your “water,” what you have to offer Him, therefrom His words: “If you knew the gift of God…” In other words: “If you only knew that what I am asking you for will only benefit you … In your fleshly eyes you don’t understand that it is for your benefit, but only if you obey, you will know the gift of God…”

I tell you that I know what this gift is, but every time God asks me for something, there are certain situations that it cost me a lot. However, when we know this God, it can cost us for a few days, but it will not cost us for the rest of our life, because we understand that He asks from us, and in return He will give us living water!

Maybe you say, “But what does God want from me? What water is this and what life do I have to give to Jesus? You Viviane, you know what God is asking you for …but what about me, who is fourteen or fifteen, fifty or thirty years-old, and do not know what God wants from me, I’m lost … I do not know what God wants me to give Him! “

Cybernaut friend, if at least you can perceive your will. And even if you say you want the Holy Spirit, what do you nourish that leads you away from Him? Maybe it’s a friendship, a relative, you nurture a sense of loss for someone who died, or for someone who is distant or because you are alone … and what you most live for at this moment is your “world”, your will; your thoughts are focused on what you’ve lost or on what you don’t want to surrender… and you want to keep on nurturing it for the rest of your life.

The purpose of this Fast of Daniel is justly so you can turn your back on your own will. That is why the Universal Church throughout the world is in one faith and in one spirit, to turn to God and be sensitive to His voice!

Maybe you say you are baptized with the Holy Spirit, had wonderful experiences, but have lived your world and therefore have been far away from God. And that can be seen in the way you talk with God, the way you go to church, in reading the Bible, in your surrendering… you live your world as a religious person. You talk to God at times when you are in the church, but other than that, God is forgotten in your mind.

The purpose of this fast is for you to focus and not be distracted by anything of this world, not with television or movies … or with anything that will direct your mind to something that will make you thirst again.

I want you to leave your comment here, today! Release what’s inside of you. Explain, and say; “now I understand exactly my situation, and I want to change!” So then, my cybernaut friend put all your strength in this Fast of Daniel. If possible, go to church every day. Even though there may be only one or two people, or you go to a meeting that no one is there, and you are the only person …My friend it is you that is in need, so it’s you who has to put all the strength into it! Do your part. Participate of this Fast these 21 days, listen to the audios and do it on the right day. Be on time, set a time for listening, because you may do so at any time of the day. Yes, you can do it! When we want to, we do it … Now it’s your time; and you are from God!

Use the power that is within you, your will and want… Give yourself— body, soul and spirit, because God will honor you and you will find that living water!

We’ll be back here tomorrow. I count on your participation.

  1. This passage even have opened my eyes and have even made me feel ashamed and dumb, honestly how can I complained with what God is asking me, what makes me think its valuable more than what He wants to give me? I’m indeed willing to give God what He asks from me because what He has for me its hndred times better than what I have.Thank you Mrs Viv

  4. Mrs Viviane, God has truly spoken to me through this message.
When I now think about what God is asking of me in comparison to what He has to offer, I realize how trivial it is! I have spent a long time holding onto it for dear life, when meanwhile, God has been asking – I understand this now! Thank you so much for sharing.
    Until tomorrow, kisses.

  5. Hi Mrs Viv
As i learned yesterday that God is asking for my water which means my life. Today i understood another important thing. Often i also ask God why is He asking me to do certain things or give up something because i believe it’s the best of me, and like you said, i blow it out of proportion. When God is asking anything from me, especially my life that has a lot of wrongs, He wants to take it as it is to correcct those wrongs and give me even more than what i intended. And even if i do lose so much, He’s faithful enough to give me even more than what i lost. I need to change the constant interrogation i have of God’s demands but ruther be humble enough to give what He asks so that i’ll also recieve the water of life
Thank u for this message Mrs viv

Since reading yesterdays day 1 and Today day 2. I can
truly say this has everything to do with me and i went into these 21 days with an objective, asking God to show me His will for my life and giving me the stregnth to obey it.
