Assistants who run away from their problems

I always bring here true stories, situations that happen in Assistant’s lives, and that others can relate to!

There is no intention to expose anyone, but to make them understand their problem. After all we are not dealing with objects, but with lives, with souls.
We are souls! And these issues are serious they involve our salvation! For this reason, we can’t cover our eyes and keep quiet.

This week I went to speak to an Assistant who I’ve been observing for a few days because I rarely saw her in the meetings, only on Sunday morning. This made me worry about the Spiritual state she was in.

When talking to her, I found out that she was facing a very delicate financial situation. As she spoke, it was clear that she didn’t see the way out of this situation, which was the reason behind not having the strength to work as an Assistant during the week.

She told me that she did everything not to get close to the people because she had no words to help those were facing the same problem she was.
She used an old excuse: How can I give something I don’t have? How I help someone if I’m facing the same problem? How can I face them?

I stared into her eyes and said: Do you know why you can’t help people, and give them the correct advice?

Unfortunately you’re not in the heat of the battle because you’re not fighting against your problem with all your might. You’re not using your faith and fighting the good fight. Instead, you have thought of yourself as someone incapable, unworthy, and a bad example to others. This is why you’ve been discouraged and have limited your performance in the work of God. But, worst of all, instead of finding the solution your difficulties have grown bigger and bigger. That’s the reason for your weakness, for your lack of courage to go to the people!

I also told her: Do you think you that just because you’re an Assistant you won’t have any problems? You are very much mistaken! We’re always going to have problems!

Your biggest problem is you, because you let yourself be dominated by adverse situations and you don’t assume your faith. And all this because you haven’t placed your spiritual life in first place, because when it’s in first place everything else will follow.

Assistants, if you find that yourself in the same situation, then let’s make it clear that the only thing that can make you feel “incapable” to the point you feel weak is if your living in sin, because they stain your conscience and automatically block your faith. But, problems on the other hand, are necessary and when we look at them as opportunities they make us more dependent of God.

I ended our conversation by telling her that the choice was entirely hers, either she uses the spiritual weapons to overcome her problem or her problems will overcome and embarrass her. The weapons that I’m talking about are not only prayer and fasting, but mostly you must be vigilant to the reactions you have to these types of situations, because the biggest difficulty is to overcome yourself!

  1. Thank you Mrs Viviane, this article is teaching me a lot as the servant of God, the way I handle the problem I come across depend on the state of my spiritual life, because I dont believe that the problems I go through have anything with my calling because when counceling people I pass what God says at that moment not what I know,no wonder god always warns us about being religeous

  2. I agree with that 100%, I once was going through a difficult problem and I remember when I would come and serve on Friday’s I felt like I should be there with the people and put my hands on my head and should be in their place receiving the deliverance. But even though I felt this way I used to push myself, sometimes I used to think it would be better to site down. But the more I pushed the more insignifacnt my problems became and i stopped worrying and used my faith. In time I overcame and when i did, I looked back and was surprised at how far I had come. So the eyes of faith are essential to me as a servant

  3. Dear Mrs Vivi,

I agree with what you said that when one is living in sin we feel guilty and our conscience is stained and when this happens, we don’t hAve the strength to face the devil. As you rightly said, we will always have problems but our communion with God is what helps us to overcome. My title or the time i have been in the work does not matter, but instead it’s how intimate I am with my Father.

  4. I think this was handle in a polite and truthful, manner. I think when people become assistant , some are deceive to think because of the title satan will leave me alone opposite. He wants you more than anyone else in the kingdom, watch and pray.

I went through a season when a voice will tell me you are weak you can not serve, you are not ready. And I was slowly, becoming that weak person without realising it.

I have to be well spiritual and these problems will, be nothing.

Thank you for this topic, you cover the TRUTH.
