Assistant that is a “complainer ” and the one that reports

This week they wrote to me asking, “Luisa , what is the difference between making a complaint and reporting something ?”

Let’s look at the differences:

Complainer

  • When I speak of something or someone, for my own benefit ;
  • The intention is not good ,but of self-interest ;
  • The goal is not to help;
  • Behind the complaints there might be bad eyes, jealousy and malice ;

Reporting has a completely different connotation and is linked to:

  • The Zeal for the work of God ;
  • Fear ;
  • The salvation of your soul and that of your neighbor ;
  • intelligent Faith;
  • When we report something or someone, it’s because firstly our intention is to please God and not be accomplices of sin.

When should I report ?

Whenever you put in jeopardy the work of God and above all your soul and that of your neighbor .

  1. This article is very clear in explaining the difference. To report is to show fear for the things of God and this intention is good.

  2. Thanks Ms Viviane
    If I see that the work of God could be jeopardized, it would be in His interest that the matter is reported. However, if it does not concern me, I operate on a, ‘be swift to hear and slow to speak basis’!
    may God bless you for your wise words!

  3. I prefer to leave something’s alone. I have offered to help and most of the times I ended up being the wrong one. So I just look at my life .

  4. This is so true in the past I used to do this, report things that were sometimes insignificant just because of bad eyes towards the other person but today I am different. Some things depending on the severity I will talk to the person first as sometimes it might be that the person did that not knowing that this was wrong, and if the person is humble enough to accept correction then I wouldn’t report but if the person does not accept then I have to report to the authority as not reporting would be partaking of the same sin just like all Israel suffered because of Achan’s sin. Thank you for reminding me of this very important lesson.

  5. Thank you very Much Miss Viviane so far I have only reported some one once to a Pastor and it was so that person could get help but since that time I have not had to.
    I also believe that if someone needs to report me it is because I am lacking in something and GOD see’s this and wants to help me.
    I read your blog from time to time and find it so help full last month I started
    my own 40 purpose after being inspired by the title being alone I haven’t done this in a long time and now is the time Thank you

    regards
    Sharon
