How do you act during difficult times?

With life? Or with bitterness and sorrow?

Answer the following questions:
When do we make a difference?
When everything is going well in our lives?
Or when we do everything right?

The answer is: Neither!

Assistants think with me:

When everything is wonderful in a person’s life, or when she does everything perfectly, what difference will they make?

You may say: The difference is because she is on the right path and there are others who aren’t!

Yes! She may be doing everything right, but how about when she faces obstacles, difficulties, setbacks, will she act the same way? Or will she drown in the sea of doubts and uncertainties thinking God isn’t with her?

This is where we make the difference!

During the times where there are circumstances contrary to our will and we maintain alive! And above all things we take that time to improve our relationship with God, to further strengthen our faith.

I see it like this:

– A person, who’s alive during this time, is a person who is full of strength and vigor when facing difficulties, not only on the outside but also inside.

This is the assistant who stands out in God’s eyes, because she doesn’t depend on anything or anyone to have life!
She solely depends on God.
She is strong! She is able to teach and help others! Why?

Because after overcoming the adversities she was and is alive and not dead!

And being “alive” is spiritually speaking, in faith, using reason and not emotions!

She has a lot to offer others because of all the experiences she has gone through!
Her words weigh heavily, have content and are able to awaken the faith of those who surround her!
This is how an Assistant should present herself: “Alive”

  1. Good day Mrs Viv,

You know I can relate a lot to this post. I have faced something over the past few months that I have never imagined anyone can face in the work of God. Maybe I was naïve of childish to think this was but that’s not the point. This situation broke me so much that I had no choice but to run to God and to the Altar. I never thought I was fit to endure such but when I gave it all to God, I faced this desert and I looked to God. Today I smile because I have grown a lot through this experience and it has made me more aware and to watch and pray and rely only on my God.

  2. Exactly what I needed to hear. This is a true confirmation of what God has been revealing to me a few hours ago. When in difficult times this is what makes us even stronger in the eyes of God and the devil. Because we don’t give up! We don’t quit! We fight and we fight strong.

    God bless you more

  3. “she has a lot to offer others because of all the experiences she has gone through.” – this is powerful to me and very true. Going through a spiritual desert or may I say having a shark in your tank is what makes you to be awake and gives you a reason to use your faith. And what I have learned is that the more you use your faith the closer you get to God – as your faith increase. But the minute I stop using my faith I’ll go down.

  4. Thank you for sharing. Interesting first question.. How do we deal with difficult times? It is those moments of difficulties that draw us closer to God as our dependence for overcoming those adversities lies with him. It is that moment that my faith is heightened instead of me wallowing in self pity about the situation.
