A disciplined Assistant vs. A “perfect” Assistant

Today I propose for each one of us to reflect, and I include myself too because if I don’t watch my behavior in everything, then there is no escape!
Even though I’m a Pastor’s wife it doesn’t mean I’m immune or free from being deceived.
We’re in the same boat!
Let’s see what the differences are between a “perfect” Assistant and a disciplined one.
Who is a “perfect” Assistant? It’s the one that always wants to do things her way.
And who is the disciplined one? For those who don’t know, discipline comes from the word disciple, which means “follower.”
Analyze what kind of an Assistant you have been:
The perfect Assistant has her mind set that she’s the only one that can clean, fix, and organize everything, etc..
The Disciplined one acknowledges that she doesn’t know everything, and is always willing to learn. The “perfect” one acts with arrogance and pride and doesn’t accept being called to reason, she thinks she knows it all.
The Disciplined Assistant take actions with caution and attention, she loves it when people tell her she’s wrong.
The “perfect” one doesn’t like to be corrected and runs away from it. That’s why she’s an extremist.
The Disciplined one loves to be correct because she knows that’s the only way she will grow.
The “perfect” Assistant considers herself righteous and without error.
The Disciplined one recognizes her sins and knows how much she depends on God.
The “perfect” Assistant is always trying to please others to the point of going over everything and everyone.
The disciplined one lives solely to please God.
The “perfect” Assistant only works to receive praise and admiration from others.
The disciplined one works because she simply loves to sacrifice.
The “perfect” Assistant is limited by the adversities.
The disciplined one uses the adversities as an opportunity to exercise her faith.
With these analogies you can draw your own conclusions.
Generally when we think of discipline we think of it as a severe correction. However, it’s first objective is not to correct, but rather to make us conscious that we must act righteous, and even if we make mistakes discipline gives us the ability to recognize and correct them. It makes us humble and flexible.
When we love discipline it makes us more willing to learn!
Now, if you see yourself as the “perfect” one then you are showing the same feeling that Lucifer had when he felt more capable and perfect than God by wanting to take His place. Needless to say more on this subject. I just want to play the “trumpet” and awaken you to this reality!

i learnt that i have to give my best to whatever i do especially for God.
in the work of God we must not compete ,and do things to receive praises or to be liked by people but i have to be humbled and not allow anything to distract me but to focus to the will of God.i must fight not to be a perfect assistant but to be the disciplined one

Discipline is something I cherish a lot, because I didn’t grow up with much of it and when i came to the church I found that there was order, and it has helped change in all areas of my life. I understand no good can come from there not being discipline

Two things that keeps me in humbliness since I started serving 1. The work is spiritually, that means the Spirit blow where it pleases, therefore I’m not irreplaceble. 2 I dont deserve to serve God, it is His mercy that I’m called His servant, that keeps me humble always. Thank you.

This is true especially regarding the perfect assistant and to add she does nothing right in the end, I know because I am that assistant, but I thank God because I have been learning, listening to the holy spirit, and because I realise this God is giving me the courage to let go of control and let him lead.
