1st Day – How can you ask me for that?

Hello cybernaut friends. It will be a pleasure to be here with you on the Blog, doing these 21 days of fasting.
I want to draw your attention to the following: In the fast there are many people who go with the “flow”. How is that so? They enter to do the fast, when in reality they don’t understand the purpose of it; they don’t know the motive of why they have to go without television, the internet, secular music, and everything that is connected to the “world”. They don’t understand why and for what, since they already go to church, seek God, and want to be baptized with the Holy Spirit.
In fact, many people think they want the Holy Spirit, think they are hungry for Him, but they are not! And the proof of that is, that it’s always very tiring for them to do something for God. But let’s follow what the Bible says, so that you can take something personal from it:
“Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans).” (Jn.4: 6-9)
Jesus asks us for a drink… it is interesting that often we interpret what God asks of us, as bothersome, that He is making us lose out on privileges, that He wants to take advantage of us… Maybe we don’t say it, but the reaction, the attitudes show that we consider an injustice what He asks of us. And Jesus is asking for a drink, which is something so simple, something that we have to give, but often we think that it’s a bottomless “well”, that there are no means by which to give, because that water belongs to us.
This “water” of which I speak of is your life, your plans, goals, and thoughts … Sometimes you nourish inside you, thoughts of what you’ve left behind, what you can lose … etc.
Interestingly, at that very moment when Jesus asked for something to drink, the disciples were not there, just so that the woman would have to give Him to drink. And you ask, “Why doesn’t He ask my mother, or my friend or someone else? Why me? “Precisely because He wants to give you something considerably bigger! Throughout these days, I will explain to you…
That situation precisely happened so that the woman would be alone with Jesus. Just like you and me … There are times that, when Jesus asks us to give Him to drink we are alone. And look at what the woman said: “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?”
Many times, this is our question: “How does the Lord asks me to give Him to drink if I am a woman who didn’t give Him anything, that has nothing to offer Him, that does not belong to His people, that isn’t one of His disciples, or a “Jew”; I act differently, I have nothing to do with the Lord … ”
Obviously at that time, the Jewish people did not come into contact with the Samaritans, as the Bible states: “(For Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans),” and what is written in parenthesis may well apply to you. Why? Because when God asks you for something, you always have excuses.
My cybernaut friend, if you decided to participate in these 21 days and perhaps you are not even sensing anything, you didn’t project, didn’t plan… you are simply “parachuting” into this fast, but yet you say: “I’m here and I want to submit myself to the voice of God and not my own will. I want to understand, surrender myself to Him. ”
If you are willing to submit yourself, than follow with us the audios of the 21 Days of Fasting every day. Even though the weekends, like Friday, Saturday and Sunday are busy and different days, I’ll ask you to participate in the same way. You need, in these 21 days, to be alone with Jesus and for that, you need to be persistent and not only on the days you want to… It’s not that difficult to connect to the internet and follow the audios! You won’t have to take “guts” out or do anything beyond what is possible! Do your part, go further, put this goal and strength within yourself— to submit and listen, because if you want to do it your way than you will not be alone with Jesus.
Cybernaut friend, be determined in this Fast of Daniel! I count on you; we will be here every day. You can participate, by leaving your comment here on the Blog.
A big hug and until tomorrow.

Thank you Mrs Viviane, I am in and will not be in this fast just to go with the flow but for the spiritual enrichment of my soul. Until tomorrow, God bless

Thank you mrs. Viviane for sharing this message. Now this Bible passage is so more clear to me. It’s good to analyze ourselve on how our relation is with Jesus, and how we are in the vast of Daniel. This is so important. Jesus wants to be closer to us, but we want to be more closer to Him as well! Thanks again, I’m going to listen/read your messages everyday!

This message, i will value Mrs Viviane and pass on to others, because it it is true that many enter the fast without knowing what its about, and may even do because they don’t want to feel left out, because everyone is doing it but they aren’t. So I thank you for this message, and i am willing to take the time to share this.

Hello Mrs Vivian
sometimes it is not that one does not to submit as I have learnt but because of the value this water has and she tries and give every excuse that this water can play a role in her life but All God is asking for is His quality time with us.
thanks a lot.

I am so thankful for this 21 days of fasting.
This message has awoke me of the way of how I was going to start fasting. I was just going with the flow, thinking to myself, I am doing out of obedience. I realized I am not putting strength in it nor saw the value of it.
As of today, I will start different!
Thank you
Ms Viviane
