1st Day – How can you ask me for that?

Hello cybernaut friends. It will be a pleasure to be here with you on the Blog, doing these 21 days of fasting.

I want to draw your attention to the following: In the fast there are many people who go with the “flow”. How is that so? They enter to do the fast, when in reality they don’t understand the purpose of it; they don’t know the motive of why they have to go without television, the internet, secular music, and everything that is connected to the “world”. They don’t understand why and for what, since they already go to church, seek God, and want to be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

In fact, many people think they want the Holy Spirit, think they are hungry for Him, but they are not! And the proof of that is, that it’s always very tiring for them to do something for God. But let’s follow what the Bible says, so that you can take something personal from it:

“Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans).” (Jn.4: 6-9)

Jesus asks us for a drink… it is interesting that often we interpret what God asks of us, as bothersome, that He is making us lose out on privileges, that He wants to take advantage of us… Maybe we don’t say it, but the reaction, the attitudes show that we consider an injustice what He asks of us. And Jesus is asking for a drink, which is something so simple, something that we have to give, but often we think that it’s a bottomless “well”, that there are no means by which to give, because that water belongs to us.

This “water” of which I speak of is your life, your plans, goals, and thoughts … Sometimes you nourish inside you, thoughts of what you’ve left behind, what you can lose … etc.

Interestingly, at that very moment when Jesus asked for something to drink, the disciples were not there, just so that the woman would have to give Him to drink. And you ask, “Why doesn’t He ask my mother, or my friend or someone else? Why me? “Precisely because He wants to give you something considerably bigger! Throughout these days, I will explain to you…

That situation precisely happened so that the woman would be alone with Jesus. Just like you and me … There are times that, when Jesus asks us to give Him to drink we are alone. And look at what the woman said: “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?”
Many times, this is our question: “How does the Lord asks me to give Him to drink if I am a woman who didn’t give Him anything, that has nothing to offer Him, that does not belong to His people, that isn’t one of His disciples, or a “Jew”; I act differently, I have nothing to do with the Lord … ”

Obviously at that time, the Jewish people did not come into contact with the Samaritans, as the Bible states: “(For Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans),” and what is written in parenthesis may well apply to you. Why? Because when God asks you for something, you always have excuses.

My cybernaut friend, if you decided to participate in these 21 days and perhaps you are not even sensing anything, you didn’t project, didn’t plan… you are simply “parachuting” into this fast, but yet you say: “I’m here and I want to submit myself to the voice of God and not my own will. I want to understand, surrender myself to Him. ”

If you are willing to submit yourself, than follow with us the audios of the 21 Days of Fasting every day. Even though the weekends, like Friday, Saturday and Sunday are busy and different days, I’ll ask you to participate in the same way. You need, in these 21 days, to be alone with Jesus and for that, you need to be persistent and not only on the days you want to… It’s not that difficult to connect to the internet and follow the audios! You won’t have to take “guts” out or do anything beyond what is possible! Do your part, go further, put this goal and strength within yourself— to submit and listen, because if you want to do it your way than you will not be alone with Jesus.

Cybernaut friend, be determined in this Fast of Daniel! I count on you; we will be here every day. You can participate, by leaving your comment here on the Blog.

A big hug and until tomorrow.

Mrs Viviane thank you for sharing this message. Unless we approach the this fast with an objective inside of us, it will surely be just 21 Days of no entertainment instead of a spiritual blessing for us.
I see this fast as an opportunity for me to have an even stronger communion with God and to be revived. I am definately looking forward to learning with you everyday. God bless

It’s always a pleasure to have such a great opportunity to be alone with God, away from everything and anything that separates us from God. I look forward to learning & being alone with God but to also give my drink to the Lord Jesus. May the Holy Spirit use you during these 21 Days to bless our lives
Thank you for the message Mrs Viv

Thank a Bunch for This post ^_^

I have to say Ms Viviane, this is what i needed. I have to say i was entering this fast as if it was an obligation. Something i know i wanted and needed to do but with no real aim. I did want to build my relationship with God more but there wasn’t really an aim greater than that. Meaning, will i give my all? How will i be able to sacrifice more of myself than i ever did before? But i am going to make these 21 Days Craft my relationship with God more than ever before. Serving more ways than ever before, i everything i do; knowing why i am do it. With an intention that i willing to change and be different.

    Good day Mrs Vivian

Thank you so much for the message. I could not agree more, just yesterday when speaking to some youth I released how burdened they felt, it’s as though they were doing God a favour, just trying it out to see what the “fuss” is all about. It’s sad really, but I believe that the Holy Spirit will do to help them see how vital having Him is.

We are taught to use intelligent faith and there is no better way to have solid communion with God then in following Him with “open eyes” and understanding, not blindly or just following the crowed. I think it’s important that I have an objective for the Fast, even though I may be baptised with the Holy Spirit there is so much more of me that God wants to break and mold His Character in place, this is an offering and what’s on the “table” is our lives, will, goal our all for Gods all and you can count me in.
